Default Mid 90's Mustang convertable top back glass

Maybe needs to be in hybrid/tech? sorry if so

My cousin just bought a Mustang convertable that has no back window. She picked up the glass and then tried to find someone to install it. She's been told that it's impossible that you have to buy a whole new top for 350, then pay 1200 to get it professionally installed.

Anyone have any input? It looks like we could possible manipulate the glass into the existing top then glue it in with window weld or the polyeurathane ---- they use on windshields. It's what I kinda want to push her to try, but just wanted to see if anyone has any experience. If it was my car that's what i would try for sure cause ---- it, might save a grand, might just ---- the top up worse, but it'd be already junk if its' not possible.

If it's not possible, anyone know how hard it is to install the top yourself? cause then she'd only be out 350 for a new top and it still wouldn't be such a hit.

i don't know, it's not my car, figured i surf hmt all day maybe poll you guys opinions
Thanks
