Re: Media PC noobness
The Windows Media Center remote works pretty nice, I'd recommend one. If I want to do "PC" stuff and edit configurations and such I just VNC into the computer from the laptop in the living room.

Almost every single tuner card out there has at least one coax input. Isn't the output from the cable box just regular RF modulation, ie shitty? Wouldn't he need a cable card to use the signal straight from the wall? |

I just got home and my box does have a coaxial out, so I'm assuming I can just plug that beeeytch in and get my cable goodness

If he went through a cable box, then out through coax into his PC, he wouldn't need the cable card since the box would do the decoding, but I thought it would lose signal quality since the only purpose of the coax out on the box is for TVs that don't have av/component/hdmi/whatever inputs.
