McCain 'picks woman running-mate'

US Republican presidential hopeful John McCain has picked Sarah Palin, the female governor of Alaska, as his running-mate, US media report.

At 44, she is younger than Barack Obama and is credited with reforms during her first term, but she is relatively unknown in US politics.

Mr McCain is due to present her on stage at a rally in Dayton, Ohio, to celebrate his 72nd birthday.

Analysts say the Republican is keen to wrest back headlines from Mr Obama.

I vote and I care...

There's something in this country called "silent majority". I think when ppl assume that a canidate will win just because of the media's potrayal of them that they are being ignorant to the fact that the silent majority doesnt go out and protest, go to rallies and conventions, or even talk about their views. they just vote and hope that half the nation is as smart as they are.

The only reason Obama has so much media time is because of his ground breaking color and the media eats that ---- right up.
