Re: Math Noggers needed!
if im correct all chevy 350's have a 4 inch bore... then again i know mine does and its from a 79 impala. if you bore it .010 over then its a 4.010 bore. im getting ready to bore mine .030 over when taxes make their way back. im also stroking it to a 383 so i plan for some major power on top of boost with the snail eagerly awaiting installation. as for myself, im stoked!! im finally building me a motor for my TA to take all the abuse i can dish out to it... :6

89-95 vette with 3.900" bore |
Re: Math Noggers needed!
come on you guys, shouldn't have to use the net for this kinda stuff, displacement is radius squared multiplied by pi, mutliplay that product by the stroke, and then mutiply that by the number of cylinders in question. 61 cubic inches in a liter, 16.387 cubic centimeters in a cubic inch

Re: Math Noggers needed!
Lotus had Cosworth do their engines, as did Ford. Ever heard of a Ford Cossie, ruling the streets overseas? ;)
Whether or not they had anything to do with this LT5, meh. I don't know a whole hell of a lot about those era cars except they are freaking slow until you build them. |
Re: Math Noggers needed!
so did he bore it out .10 or .010? There is a big difference in machining terms.

Re: Math Noggers needed!
Pfff, it's just an order of magnitude. You can make up the difference between .10" and .010" by how you gap your rings during engine assembly. ::)
