Shoulda stayed in? Ya right. I put in my 5 years. I am making well beyond what the military was paying me, and living a much better life. I am glad I went in, it gave me the opportunity to be where I am now. But I don't ever want to go back in. I wasn't what the Marine Corps would call your ideal SGT. I didn't get off yelling at people, my best friends were E2-E4, and I stood up for everyone under me when some dumbass motard would give em hell. I only have 11 months left in the IRR, and my job was none of those listed, and it was an overful/dying MOS. So I should be safe, but I'm worried about my cousin who is pretty upset about it right now.
And my MOS was 5953 Air Traffic Control Radar Technician. Sgt. Halonen, look me up!!! BTW, spent my last year on MCAS Futenma ;) June 2004 - May 2005 |

I don't understand how they litterly pay people (non-Marine Corps) to get out, yet they pull other people back in. What MOS's are on the list, I havent seen any. I would imagine 03's, 02's, and maybe 06's. (im an 0621 by MOS) |

They mentioned something about needing MP's, Communication, Grunts, Intel, and I think 1 or 2 more. Where do you work at on Futenma? I used to work in the GEMD shop, right by the control tower. You happen to know anyone that works in ATC or GEMD(atc maintenance)? SSgt. Guy (soon to be Gy Guy, kinda cute for a ssgt!)? She was my old boss. Or Capt. Owens, another one of my old bosses.
