I posted up something similar recently, it seems there are a few chinese turbo manufacturers around. All making shitty knock off turbo's.
|
Re: Made-In-China
I sent them an inquiry asking what warranty they offer since most chinese turbos are ----.
|
Re: Made-In-China

Re: Made-In-China

I thought that the dancing children in the top right corner were particularly humorous and add a certain credibility to the site.

In Chinese after market, you could even have turbocharger at a very very low price, if you choose. For example, they're using normal DI instead of high and mediums Mo-Si DI, they're using compressors in 403 instead of K213 or K18... Our main market is Europe and America. We’re supplying turbochargers and other relevant parts to Volvo Penta, TMI, Biagio and other OEM manufacturers. So, quality is always prior to any other considerations for our production. Just take turbocharger test comparison between Wa-line, Holset & other Chinese manufacturers TEST PERCENTAGE OF EACH ORDER Rotation speed Wa-line Holset Other Chinese manufacturer Rotor balancing 3,000 rpm 100% 100% 100% CHRA balancing 120,000 rpm 100% <20% most of them don't have CHRA balancing equipment Hot gas testing 160,000 rpm 5% N/A for normal orders most of them don't have Hot gas test equipment Though the equipment investment and test cost is quite high, but it's worth it. By the way, we know how to make those turbos, which we call economy models. But we'll never do them to keep the brand's name. *We, Wa-line, is a professional manufacturer with 12 year's experience and do know the game rules. Not like other Chinese manufacturers you mentioned, we don't have interest to sell to everybody, including retailers, dealers even end users... Our strategy is to cooperate through dealership. Me and Craig went to the show and weren't looking to spend $15,000, so nobody wanted to sell us anything. None of them really speak engrish, and none of them have US distributors that we could buy from (none that would probably want to be mentioned). It was shitty too, cause this guy was selling 2.5" flex pipes for like $3, but he wanted an order of 15,000. We finally switched to the tactic of just trying to buy display model stuff that they brought to the show. One of the guys had a 24x12ish intercooler he was gonna sell me for $40, but someone had already claimed it. :'( All in all, they all seemed to have most of the same ----, like in China theres a factory building obx manifolds, the factory next door steals the design, and then 15 factories all on the same block are making the same ----. After this story, you can probably figure out where obx, matrix, apc, etc.... get all their ----. It's not an "obx" or "ssautochrome" or " " manifold, it's a manifold out of one of the 160,934,340 chinese factories. |
Re: Made-In-China
If I remember correctly, an order of 15,000 obx manifolds would run you about $35 each. :S
All the vendors are really nice though. They speak to you like you're their next "big score" (because if you order, $15,000 is a pretty big score) They'll send you lots of nice emails like the above posted, usually not even in that good of english. |
Re: Made-In-China
I'm still waiting to see when they start offering "built" engines. casting their own blocks and the whole nine yards.

Re: Made-In-China
It sucks that nothing is really made in America anymore. And it’s our own fault. Why? Because as workers we want to make top dollar (which is not a bad thing) but as consumers we want cheap prices. Out sourcing sucks.
Especially when you have to call customer service for something and some Flip picks up the phone only to have me yells at him for pronouncing my name "Rapal" instead of Rafael..... ------- HP :3 |
Re: Made-In-China
High Performance should sell the product on its own. :'(

Re: Made-In-China

Re: Made-In-China
Workers comp kills us.
|
Re: Made-In-China
You really cant buy much of anything that isnt made in China anymore even made in America products are comprised of Chinese parts like wiring, switches etc etc.The cars will be here soon to I think alot of automanufacters are getting worried already :-X
|
Re: Made-In-China
Hell look at american car manufactures...Ford..GM..Chrysler..union workers are always looking for more and more cash for the shitty cars their building. Daimler-Chrysler just laid off like 13000 workers. Honda and Toyota know whats going on. They need to watch Mr. Mom

Re: Made-In-China
Yeah if we boycotted all Chinese products their economy would collapse haha
|
Re: Made-In-China
You could start by getting off the internet becuase from the keyboard to the box in front of your house you probably used 100 chinese products.
Boycott US made stuff. Chinese people are machines, americans cant compete with them. I wonder if some chinese factorys are really better than others. |

China cars we have nothing to worry about. Simple cars have to last forever has anything built since the 80's in the hands of the Japs is flawless. China doesnt build cars anything up to this level have read alot about this they are way behind. Jap cars will take over just like they have been for the last 20 years and yes they pay there workers well so the simple fact is Ford,GM doesnt build a simple small family car that can run with civic, accords, camry's etc. Turbo Diesal Pick ups can only make so much money.
