Re: ls1 vs everyone
congratulations :1
i ran a 13.366 with less than half the displacement, and got a 2.0x 60' time with an open diff and shitty street tires... ::) guess i shouldve made my own thread, lol... buddy with a 6spd LS1 T/A ran a 12.8 with an exhaust/headers/tune/intake... |

i am pretty happy about the 107.56 trap speed. no induction modifications, just the exhaust. the convertible adds 300-400lbs over the hardtop :/

Re: ls1 vs everyone
yea good job.
you could have done that in a $200 88 civic with a $300 turbo kit :1 |

Re: ls1 vs everyone
highly modified turbo 280z that runs a 13.5- 14.00... sounds highly modified to me :1

Re: ls1 vs everyone
nonetheless, grats on buying a car that was already fast... dont worry i'll have some LS1 stomping times sometime in april :6
|
Re: ls1 vs everyone
13.3 is average for your everyday near stock ls1.. pro drivers can get 12.7-12.8 if the conditions are right.. for just an exhaust and being a convertable 107 isnt bad..
|
Re: ls1 vs everyone
if i spent 15K on a "muscle" car i would expect it to go AT LEAST that fast. terminators go 110+ stock, weigh more then a vert F body, should they get a cookie too?
|

im not asking a cookie you clown i simply posted the videos. i didn't buy the car to be the fastest possible, and a SVT cobra mustang typicaly costs about 10k more than a z28 camaro |

Re: ls1 vs everyone
Good times for a vert, get some bigger/stickier rears and a ported LS6. Not sure what years came with it stock, but decent upgrade I hear.
|
Re: ls1 vs everyone
You should have bought a TA. Everyone i see at the tracks around here are running around 12.80. 2.1 60s rwd and 245s how is the driver not the problem.

If you post here https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=91889.0 at this moment, you can theoretically claim to be the 2nd fastest car on HMT in 2008.... Blacky
