Lost my job Monday!..suggestions

After almost two years selling cars at a Honda dealership...they canned me! :-[ I'd had a couple slow months (along with everyone else) and they replaced me. That's the car business for ya.

I've been considering either opening my own business (which will be tough, considering I've been down on income lately), or working for one of the generic parts companies. They're opening a new O'Reilly's like 3 blocks from my house. Does anybody know what kind of money you can make at a place like this as say Store mgr or Asst mgr?

I really want to do something related to cars because that's what I know. Any suggestions for my next career?

Ben

ps- I've already ruled out: hooking (no one could afford me), internet pornstar (what would my family think), pro athlete (bum knee, lazy), and swimsuit/underwear model (i hate the way a thong feels). 8)

opening your own business is hard and you prob wont start were you want to be at until a few years after. If you want to deal with cars and have any knowledge of working on them you could open your own shop maybe? Store manager or Assistant manager doesn't sound bad. You could do that to help you start you own business on the side.

i am workign in a "generic parts companies"
typical warehouse guy. about $1300 a month.
if you are going into management. ur looking at about 2 grand at most when the company first started.
and trust me it take a LONGGGGGGGG time for a company like that to build up.
i`d rather start it on my own(i am actually planning to). but make sure u got a lot of hookups before anything
