lol, my car sux!

ok, so i broke some ringlands a few weeks ago, no biggie, replaced them with a couple stock used pistons, ran great for a few days, pulled hard as hell! then my head gasket starts leaking about a week or so ago (re used hg and head bolts :-X ), ok, no biggie, swap it out with a new one and some arp's wednesday night. alright, car should be good now, can't wait to rip on it. go rip on it for a bit, come home, smoke out of the breather again ::) (and for you want to talk ----, no, it's not the tune, i have a PERFECT 11.6:1 afr in boost, and i'm only running 14° timing at 12 psi, that's about as conservative as it gets!). alright, so ---- it, i can still run some 12's with broken ringlands, i've done it before, i'll do it again, right? so, on my way home from work, my oil pressure gauge is leaking, from INSIDE the car! now i have a puddle of oil on my floor board, shoes and pant legs covered in oil and my foots slipping off the clutch, i'm over it, i just keep driving home (from work). next up, my wb starts reading lean, but the car's running perfect, so i ASSume my dp has cracked (again) b/c my exhaust note had changed quite a bit also, well, i'm almost home, no biggie. about a mile from my house, the exhaust breaks completely off and is dragging on the ground, i just keep going, i'm pissed by now. take a turn, the exhaust swings out to the side, i run it over while turning, and now it's dragging sticking out the side of my car ::) pull in my drive way and it rips completely off, including my wideband that was attached. lol, how much ---- can go wrong in an hour ??? it's cool, i don't give a ----. i'm ripping the motor out, building my b18 block and not putting the car back on the road until it's ------- done and done right. i kept trying to rush things to get out to the track and get that timeslip every week, and look where it got me, i've learned my lesson and the next time that car's on the road, it'll be making well over 400whp (hopefully no longer than a month). that's my rant, and spenser, i look forward to your thoughts on this series of events :)

damn kevin talk about bad luck. Yeah just do what you got to do and then boost the car. I can't believe all that happen in one hour. was there anyone behind you when your exhaust was dragging from the side?

"(and for you want to talk ----, no, it's not the tune, i have a PERFECT 11.6:1 afr in boost, and i'm only running 14° timing at 12 psi, that's about as conservative as it gets!)"

do you have EGT gauge? ... cause their is such a thing as too conservative on the timing, I think that running only 14 degrees might driven your EGTs too unsafe temps.

yes, i do have an egt, and tune numerous cars on a regular basis. 14° at full boost near red line is -.9° in the upper psi's, that's no where near too conservative, but also far from aggressive and my egt's were always in check at all times.

That's some bad luck you got there...

And I thought I was having bad luck when I had to replace my clutch and headgasket within a month.

I'm glad you are staying in the game though, lot's of people would sell out after a run of bad luck like that. Good luck getting the next setup together!

---- still don't change till this day, still the same way. I'm glad my opinion is well appreciated. HAHAHAHAHAHAH. but yeah man, I kinda feel sorry for you. Think for a minute about how retarded you are, you're obviously doing something wrong bitch, you've tuned a couple cars, in what? the 6 months you've owned your wideband? Switch.

The same kinda ---- happened to me when I was trying to get the car ready for the track (hood flew up, downpipe fell off, timing belt skipped a tooth all in one day.) for the same reason, cause I got cursed by that bitch ass gypsie lady for engagin in a gross iniquity with her daughter jackie, it was wack.

I learned(the first time), and I'm sure you'll learn eventually, if that don't work, you can start a group with garth brooks (man my raps are gettin' easy, I'm thannkful for that, but don't be mistakin me black, or you be stinkin in the back of a cadalac)

actually, i've tuned probably close to 15 cars since i've owned my own wideband, and before that, i would just make them pay for dyno time, and i've never blown a motor, except for mine, twice :-X i think the ringlands were just weak from the first time it blew, i re used two of the good one's, and i know the first time i blew it was because of the tune (or lack of actually), so they didn't break then, but were probably stressed and waiting for an excuse to break. don't hate me cause you ain't me :-* see, my wraps are good too :)

This is why the stealth shuttle will be done in 2009. ;) Take your time. Saying you "rushed it" is just about like saying you "hotrexed it". :)

yea man, If you wanted, the first time, was a lack of tune, a mistake, and this time, well a lack of good pistons. So I guess your proper tunes have never actually blown a motor. ;)

good luck with the b18.

I hotrexed mine, beat the living piss out of it, ran it with no DP and a spring WG for a few months, then 3 weeks before I sell the car, I put a WG and a shitty DP on it, ran a solid 9 psi, beat the living hell out of it every ------- day, boosted everywhere I went to and never once had a problem with it. i dont get it? ohh yeah, and I had 175,000 miles and 180comp across the board. the guy who bought it is still "franking" the car. ;) did I just have that great of luck?

oh man, now thats some shitty ass luck. Cant believe your ringlands went at that boost/timing. I know if I was running your setup at 12lbs and stock C/R, I would have run exactly 14* up top as well.
Thumbs up on not being a big a ----- ass sell-out :) We should compare 'piston' collections sometime O0

Oh ----, that ---- must have been funny. :D I remember the first boosted drive in my most recent Civic I would turn the corner at the end of my street and the ------- ghetto ass exhaust would pop off as soon as I got on it. Then I would have to drive home dragging my exhaust. Fun times.........

Doesn't that make you feel like you drive a pile of ---- for a car? :P
