Mad Maximillian... I see a lot of aftermarket gear reading incorrectly due to ground issues or installer error. Expecting a wideband to log correctly when tied to thin gauge ECU power and grounds, fighting the ECU for a path for current to flow raises dynamic resistance, it is an exercise in futility. If your AFRs show up differently between WB display and what your laptop logs through the ECU... if your AFRs change when you turn headlights on/off... if Crome lambda offset is more than 0.01... you have problems. Ground the engine, ground the chassis, run your powers for your gear from the battery and the grounds to the engine block, and use wire thick enough to support it. |

I don't have those problems. I run 12 gage wire for the power and ground from the battery; no pesky loops with grounding to the engine. The offset for datalogging is irrelevant. All it means is that the voltage feed going to the ecu has some drop in it. It doesn't mean that the WB is reading differently. All you are doing is relaying the correct WB readings. I did a direct test. I logged my sensor in the DP and then put the same sensor in the gas analyzer vacuum box that lead to the tailpipe. There was a difference. See how the offset doesn't matter. Offset is a common factor in the test; therefore, is null in the test. |

Yes, I use it when someone shows up and they didnt know they needed an O2 bung in the car or the O2 sensor wont come out. Works well but yes you have to account for the lag. Let me know if you need one.
No Joseph, I was using o2 in the exhaust tract like normal on each case.

How well do they work in the huge fart can mufflers. You know, the ones that taper from 2" to 5". I have had problems with with the regular long copper tube ones. The outside air seems to saturate the exhaust stream. |

I use a .03 correction in crome and its jumpy as ---- but it works itself out, the Te guys claim its because the WBlin out is not grounded and it feeds from the heater circiut or some ----. I dont use crome's lambda input anyway, i've found its faster to tune by hand with the display right there in my face. |
