You don't have to register ---- in VA, it's just a lot of gun stores register their handguns to cover their own asses. That and BATF test fires the handgun and fingerprints the bullet.

There's a lot wrong with America but, at least in my neighborhood, it's not a crime ridden shithole where homeless people rob or kill each other over 50 cents. If you historically look at any government that forced disarmament of it's citizenry, it was never ever ever ever been a good thing.

I do think I need a shotgun. The groundhog in the backyard and such. Plus, its just not the south without at least one shotgun in the house. Ive got my little toss-away revolver for you know who, but a pistol-grip, pump-action 12-gauge is a thing of beauty.
