Drug Seizure in Downtown Calgary
The Calgary Police Service has charged a local man with several drug-related offences following a traffic stop which
yielded more than $75,000 in illegal narcotics.
On Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at approximately 1:10 a.m., police observed the driver of a vehicle park his car in an unusual manner along 12 Street at 15 Avenue S.W. The driver was showing signs of being impaired so officers approached the vehicle in an attempt to speak with the man. The driver made an attempt to evade police, however, he was arrested at the scene.
Inside the vehicle, police found cash, score sheets, an electronic scale, and packaged amounts of ketamine, ecstasy, LSD, marijuana and magic mushrooms. The total estimated street value of the drugs is $75,345.
Spenser Timothy MOLNAR, 21, of Calgary, is charged with six drug-related offences and numerous outstanding warrants. MOLNAR’s vehicle and other items found in the vehicle have been seized as proceeds of crime.
