Something like an LS motor is much less affected by a shitty manifold and small turbo because the cams are so small and have so little overlap

isnt the log just a cheap alternative to more expensive manifolds. if there so worried about it they should just get a different kind of manifold. unless there using it becuase of fitment issues with the other manifolds. then i could see wondering about how it effects you hp numbers. they should just go the hmt way and build there own.
