Local guy's supra's new setup **56K nope** *now NSFW, thanks jago*

This is a local guy here, his (slow) supra ran low 10's with his old turbo setup and his fast one ran 9.46 @143. Here is his new setup in his "slow" one (check out the bend in the dp!!!!)

Needs a little bigger turbo

dragon 07-27-2005 12:46 PM

Re: Local guy's supra's new setup **56K eat shit maybe**

that turbo is huge

Re: Local guy's supra's new setup **56K eat shit maybe**

And what's the deal with that open vaccuum line that comes off the compressor?

Darkelvis 07-27-2005 12:49 PM

Re: Local guy's supra's new setup **56K eat shit maybe**

----, as it is already using nitrous he cant spool the old turbo before the trees hit green, worst reaction time ever. but he still never looses.

dragon 07-27-2005 12:52 PM

Re: Local guy's supra's new setup **56K eat shit maybe**

why dont he just twin turbo it and have a smaller turbo to help spool the bigger one instead of using n20. Its easier on the engine.

Darkelvis 07-27-2005 12:57 PM

Re: Local guy's supra's new setup **56K eat shit maybe**

recent vid of one of his runs (I feel sorry for the guy in the pickup that lined up against him on street legal day). This is probably one of the best reaction times I've ever seen him have.

Follow the blue hose, goes to a black box, then curls around and is open

Ive seen very powreful supras here in my area.We have titan motorsports, scranton racing, and Cft that create monster 700+hp poopras on a regular basis. Not every saturday anywhere else do you see a Supra pick on a Lambo Diablo around 160+mph but here in Tampa. ;)I'll try to post the video up soon.

Re: Local guy's supra's new setup **56K eat shit maybe**

This is DaveH, owner of the Supra that darkelvis posted pics of.

Yes, the blue line ends up going to the wastegate. I was near the end of the install when I took that pic.

It's a NA engine, stock everything except for metal headgasket, ARP head studs and a HKS intake cam.

Twin vs Single turbo... you would only get a spoolup advantage with twin turbo's if they are sequential. Nobody makes a aftermarket sequential setup for big turbos.

Darkelvis posted some passes from a couple years ago, here are some more recent (quicker) ones.

Every once and awhile I watch that retarded show "Street Fury" on that video game channel. They had that car and then a tri turbo supra. That dude was running like t3's off of 2 cylinders. He made like 700whp but made full boost at 3500rpm's.
