LS1's are pretty quick from the factory. They can run mid to low 13's no problem, which will be a lot of hondas. With your basic bolt ons and some good tires your going to have a nice street car. Throw a little nitrous on it or maybe a supercharger or turbo and your going to have a really fast car.

you guys are comparing $50000 z06 corvettes to your EG's that cost less to put together than the corvette guy spends on insurance every 6 mos... Its not a really fair comparison. Its harder to make a honda go fast because they werent designed to. As for camaros etc, how many forced induction people do you know? Ive only seen a handful, most of them spray instead.

Lol I seriously didn't mean to start ----. But if you want something to realistically compare your car to, I'll tell you about my car.

I bought my 94 Formula for $4000, 235rwhp stock, 0-60 in about 6 seconds with the shittiest all season tires.. and I'm sorry to say but I've beaten every turbo charged import in town from a roll AND a stop XD

With everything stock I could slap on an 8PSI ATI Procharger with a 2 core intercooler that produces about 150-160 HP gains for $3000. So that's a 425 HP car for about $7000? lol

And I pay $400 for every 6 months for insurance for 2 cars, including my Firebird, also taking into the fact that I'm 19 so I have higher insurance rates.

=)

I would love a 3000GT VR-4 one day though.. V6 twin turbo AWD... *drools* but I just dont have the money. :-( those things are expensive

I pay over $500 every 6 months for one vehicle.....and it's not a sports car with a V8 and I'm not 19. Are you on your parents insurance policy?

BTW, nice job bringing this thread back up for no logical reason.
