The other side of say the gun subject requires that I accept not everyone is fit to be responsible, just as anything, but I still have to defend their right in order to keep mine. I'll take that chance.

Re: In light of the I'm not a ----- thread,
What's sad is that the majority of people in this nation (with every issue) either dont care or dont care enough to make the politicians, police, military, CIA, FBI...or the President himself accountable. Until however, it affects their life directly or their wallet.
Most people say they care and want their freedoms and that they are activated by protecting these, but there is always an underlying issue to it...except for maybe 1% of the people.

I'm usually pretty good at dumbing things down Johnny, but I'm not sure I can make it any simpler for you. Let's try though...
Example #1:
Johnny has a hard on for guns so Johnny is completely for ZERO gun control and buys tons of guns and takes pictures of himself with guns and sends money to the NRA and wants to lick Charlton Heston's sweaty taint.
Example #2:
Johnny has a nice family...and one day, some lunatic off his meds goes into the local gun store, purchases a big ole gun and decides to head to the mall to play "shoot em up." Johnny's whole family is there, shopping, stimulating the US economy and eating good ole american food (McDonald) when all of a sudden, said lunatic randomly kills Johnny's entire family and then turns the guns on himself like the ----- he is.
Two sides of the coin...two different people with two different agendas. I'm on the third side of that coin (sorry that might be hard to follow).
I find it strangely ironic after reading example #2 that your SN is "random strike"

johnny pulls his 45 puts one between the eyes of crazy man.
example #4
johnny and 1000 people die and its still worth our freedom.
i'd rather have a 75% chance of getting in a gun fight every time i leave my house then lose my freedom. which is absurd and impossible.
your argument sucks, and its the one socialists make all the time. freedom is worth more than security, end of story.
ps: i have no respect for anyone willing to give up their freedom, and i down right hate anyone who makes excuses that people say "can't handle their freedom, so they shouldn't have it" because those are the people who will try and take mine away, and those are the people i will kill when they try

if you are not secure, you have ZERO freedom...that's called anarchy. there has to be a BALANCE, plain and simple.
