I was looking on nopi and they sell flexalite windows under the "window kit" category. Kind of expensive I guess, but it wouldn't be too bad to do just your hatch window to save some weight

Reading comprehension owns you.

I just found out that this is the good stuff; it's for the build your own plane aviation crowd, and they do not allow substandard windows or the plane isn't allowed to fly.

I saw that post, but I don't know how you'd do your own rear glass on an eg hatchback-- its pretty curved-- unless the lexan is flexible enough to do it? No experience w/it

Heatgun + your glass = perfection.

I used a sheet and made a windshield for a high-mileage car I worked on in highschool, it was like a 4x5 sheet for like $65. you could bend the ---- and everything, crystal clear and strong as ----, i think it was like 3/8 inch thick. worked great, prolly could make side windows out of it pretty easy but not worth the money.

Re: Lexan windows

Lexan should only be used on a full drag car, ie, something that holds you in (racing seat/harness)

There is a reason we have something called safety glass, its to keep your dumb noggin from going SPLAT! on your new lexan window in the event of a big accident its also there so emergency crews can break it and get you out of the car, say you were to roll and they couldnt open the doors and your car was on fire...I'm sure they would appreciate you having lexan windows to make their job of saving your ass that much easier. ::)

There is some exceptions, like said above, the rear hatch of a CRX, or even the rear 1/4 windows...so long as nobody sits there.
