I would just like to bitch and get your guys'personal opinions on the drinking age in the U.S. Personally i think its bullshit that I can go to war for my country, vote, smoke, and be considered an adult when i can't even leagally go purchase some booz! Making it 21 did little to stop alcohol consumption. In fact all it did was give our govt. a new way to generate revenue from tickets. I live in Wisconsin right now and i like the fact that i can legally drink w/ my parents but cmon' this law is crap. I wish i could do something besides bitch about it. I just feel that i have the right to drink legally at 18. What do u guys think?

Since I'm 21, the drinking age is fine as it is. Thats the last thing I want a bunch of 18 year old's in the bars. Let kids get more mature and its not like drinking or getting alchohol underage is that big of a deal anyways. ----, I sell beer at a 30% markup to all you little minors.

The drinking age of the U.S. is not entirely based off alcohol consumption and/or responsibility. There is a part of our brain that does not fully develope until 21 years of age. Drinking before that age can hinder the development of that part of the brain. Also, someone who begins drinking substantially before the age of 21, can develope alcoholism in as little as 6 months, apposed to a person who starts drinking after the age of 21, it can take up to 15 years to develope alcoholism. *shrug* Just my two cents I learned in the OLCC class. Five hours of learning on nothin but alcohol. 8)

I call BS on that study, ---- it doesn't take 15 months to become an alcoholic some people have that gene no matter what. I don't think drinking before the magic number of 21 is going to suddenly trigger that. Truth is we have a big drinking problem in the U.S., but look at other countries that have much lower drinking ages. They have few problems with it because its just part of everyday life, just not a big deal anymore. the fact that i'm not supposed to do it makes it that much more fun.I would be all for something like a drinking license in the U.S. something to weed out the idiots.

Prove it. Gay people are attention cravers. You can't be born gay. How the ---- would that happen? Look back in history, before society "accepted" gays. The only reason we have so many now is because it's drilled into young peoples minds. If we(society)never talked about gays or had TV programs about being gay, we would have alot less of them, simply because we wouldn't have all these gay people who just want to be gay to be different and stand out. ::)

Thats bullshit man, the only reason why we have so many gays now is cause we don't, we just have more out of the closet gays, think back in history, being gay was not acceptable, if you were gay, you were pretty much killed, an outcast, so people who were gay just didn't admit it and went about as normal straight people. Same with women, in the early days women were beat all the time, like no big deal, they never complained about it or reported it, they were like the gays, they kept it all locked up inside.

Sure there are probly fake homos out there, who are gay only cause there retarded and can't get any **cough** kain**cough** but there is just more homos out there cause now it's socialy acceptable. but whatever man, i still ------- hate gay people.

I'll have to disagree with you on this one, I think people can be born gay. My mom owns a daycare and I go over there to talk to her and there was this one baby there and this kid was just ------- kickass. I hate kids with a passion but this one was neat. And go figure now that he is a toddler he acts JUST like a girl. I mean exactly and even the parents notice it. However his brother who is about 4 years old plays sports, beats the ---- out of other kids, is just all around a bad kid and straight as they come. So it definitely has nothing to do with the parents influence


I think you notice more gay people now becuase its more accepted in society so people aren't trying to hide it and all this bullshit with fags on TV I think also confuses kids. But this toddler isn't old enough to be influenced by the media and yet he's acting just like a fag.


This same thing happened with another fag that went to my mom's daycare, they said they knew he was fruity since he was a baby also. I used to think people "chose" to be gay but now I think you actually can be born with it.

Yeah, but how does any kid get any influence? Whoever they are around. Maybe there was a fag hanging around the day care, or maybe the kid just idolized his mom so much that he didn't know any better than to mimick her. I just can't see being born gay. I couldn't possibly see how a man can be attracted to another man.

Take a look at females. I have seen soooooo many young girls kiss and make out and for what reason? Guys dig it. They know they get an extreme amount of attention from it, so they do it weather they are attracted to girls or not. Almost every girl I knwo has at least kissed/made-out with another girl.

But like I said BOTH of these kids (actually there were 3, one girl) all went to my mom's daycare at the same age (when they were babies), were around the same people, in the same environment, ect. Its a working mother so most of the kids time is spent at the daycare. Why would one be a bad kid who actually picks fights with the other kids and the other acts EXACTLY like a girl. They both had the same influences and same upbringing but one is definitely gay and the other isn't.


This is what changed my mind. You have 2 kids with identical upbringings, in the same environment with the same influential people around them. Why is one gay and one isn't? This is a toddler who is CHOOSING what to do without anybody influencing him.

furthermore i do agree that people can be born gay, yes everyone interprets things differently, if people are smarter then other people then it can also be infered that people have different natural tastes, which means people can be gay, or like to ---- animals, or even not like sex at all. EVeryone is born different, blue eyes, brown hair, gay, hetero, etc.

My mom's owned this place for a while and there was another kid there who acted the same way and now that he's older he's actually gay. You can just tell, he would rather hang out with the girls, he likes to play with dolls, play dress up and just his overall actions. Everybody can tell the differences between the behaviors of a guy and a girl even at a young age and he acts EXACTLY like a girl.

Let's not forget that different people interpret things in a different way. Not every kid is going to have the same thought process and know how things work. Some kids are smart, some kids are dumb. The little dumbass kid probably just doesn't know any better. :-\ I blame the father. He should have taken that kid on fishing trips, or dirtbike riding or something manly.

Its funny you guys bring this up, I learned in a biology class that some research has show that "being gay" is something that you could be born with due to a fucked up chromosome, but I dunno if i believe it or not. Theres been a lot of good points both ways in this thread, . Id say im leaning towards no i dont believe you can be born with it. Sure theres a lot of crazy ---- we are born with and lots of crazy things can happen to our chromosomes but i believe in God. I dont think God would would force that handicap on certain people and have them live through life without being able to make a choice. How are people supposed to reproduce and keep up the cycle of life?

back on topic---- i like the drinking age the way it is. i never had a problem getting alcohol in high school. the problem is that kids who are 18 usually have not lived out on their own yet and are still a bunch of dumb fucks who want to act like adults but are still children inside. i realize that there are exceptions, but for the most part i wouldnt want any more drunk high school kids then there already are. i ------- hate when my buddies bring 16-18 yr old little turds around to our kickbacks. compared to MOST 21+ yr olds they dont know how to handle themselves responsibly.

Wow what the hell happened to my thread? anyway i agree that there are a lot of dumbfuck idiots out there that ruin it for the rest of us. But i do believe that lowering the age would actually help save lives because it would allow younger people to party in a more controlled inviroment instead of having them drive around in cars boozing or driving from one party to the next. If they were allowed to drink in bars then the bartender could take keys and only give them back if you pass a breathelizer. Seeing how most of you want to keep it 21 just because you don't like 18 yr olds seems kinda lame. You guys never had any younger friends in college?
