Default Leave it up to Texas

They just approved for teachers to be able to carry at school in a town in Harold, Texas. Seems straight to me.

i didnt read that...but that is a horrible, horrible idea imho. If you need security, get a security guard/cop with a gun. I can just see an idiot kid finding/grabbing the gun from them while they are facing the chalk board or some ----. Or a group of 5 idiots jumps the teacher, now they have a gun.

I don't have a problem with it, but I would agree that 2-3 large armed security guards would probably be a better option. I'll leave it to teachers to teach. Afterall, there will probably only be 2-3 teachers who take advantage of this law, and when the shots fly in an unarmed classroom, the school goes on lockdown anyway. I doubt in that situation it would be the policy of the school to leave the kids in the classroom and Mr. Johnson is called to go into combat mode across the school. Mr. Johnson was always a coward anyway.

All of these precautions won't do jack. I'm sorry, but if someone wants to shoot up a school they will walk in and start blasting. They all work on these lock down procedures now. Wow, so the kids that go to that school that want to shoot it up won't know the times in between classes/during break to shoot it up.

somehow I think giving these people guns isn't a great idea:

but i think teachers should be allowed to defend themselves from other peoples children if necessary, not to mention they are more likely to be more level headed than some ------- rent a cop with a power trip.

So, 1 hour of searching by sinderella has produced 4 security guards that aren't worth a ----. Are we going to hold them all personally responsible, or paint the whole security industry in a bad light and let kids get fucked up? hmmm.
