kyle goes 116mph, pero no more.
 

I had a long, empty, cop free road to drived down last night, so I tried to top out the speedo. I got to 116mph and was at about 7200 rpms and the car wouldn't go any faster, does the pm6 have a speed governor?

I would have posted this in EM, but I wanted everyone to know I went 116mph

I have hit ~118-120 with a P06, but it cut out after that. If you just can't go any faster and it's not cutting out, then you just don't have the power to go faster. :P

I don't think there is actually a "governor" on it, I think it just cuts out so you would know when you hit it. It feels like your motor just took a ---- and your face heads for the dash. what motor are you running?

---- in my b16 rex its suppost to redline at 8200 rpm's. but it hits they rev limiter at like 7400. and will hit it again in 5th at say 114 mph. i aslo have a pr3 ecu. maybe i just got to chip it :-\

PR3 has a governor...wont let you go past 114mph...

My car cuts out at like 107 as you can see in my vids i posted i didnt go past 105 for a reason :( time to run a switch off the VSS sensor :)

:P 150mph. the ecu is chiped from who or were i dont know.
my other ecu sucks cut of is at 120. when i found that out i took the bicth out and out my other one in. good thing i keep them in the car. :P

i hit the rev-limit in my crx si (pm6) @ about 135-140 (speedo stops @ ~125)

well my car stops at 115 mph and If i push it the ecu kicks in and I drop from 115 to 80 in like 2 seconds and slowly decreases. It suck cuz i was trying to beat my frinds saab back on campus and his car maxes at 140 mph :-\

I can't wait to run at Brainerd international raceway set up for the road race... the front straight is 1 mile long, and turn 1 is banked, so I can take it at 140 or however fast I can get going.... DX tranny with turbo =high top speed...

I got my old 97cx hatch :'( up to 135 with 4 people in the car and 140 by myself down a hill

it wasn't a cutout, I just stayed at 116. I kept the gas on the floor for about 5-10 seconds and didn't go past 116. It's a b16a with a pm6 modded by zdyne to run the b16. the rev limit is at 9500 (no I haven't tested it). My brother's b16 has the automatic pr3, so the rev limit is at 7400.

I generally don't ---- around when friends are in the car, but I did hit 100 on the highway with 2 friends in the car. they probably deserved to die though, they were littering.

something is wrong. ive hit 125+(needle stopped at 125) on my old crx dx motor.

and about the friend thing, i risk my friends lives when they are the dumbasses cheering me on to go faster.

speed govenors suck! my buddies focus stops at 107. my 91 EGT could hit 144 before the gears run out. but teh stock motor doesn't make enuf power to let it go that fast. i have had it to around 130 on a loooooong straight away. i figure this do to my speedo going to 125.

i had a zc in it with a pm6 and toped it out at 142 that same week i was woundering why my car was slower. i blow the head gasket a week later. i wounder why

ummm my crx d16a6 pegged the speedo no problem when it was n/a, i didnt try to go much over 120. also i dont know how reliable the speedo is up there. your b16 should go faster than 116 you have something fucked up with your setup, my beater truck can prob do 116.

d16a6/si trans is gear limited top speed at 147 if i rember right, it wont get up there without boost though.
im sure i could get my car up that fast now just dont wanna drive to bfe to try it out.

my buddy has a 97 s10, and i have a 96 mazda b2300(ranger basically) and his cuts out at like 94-96, mine cuts at 101-102. thats factory i mean you can chip it and remove limiter.

we raced our beater trucks lol it was great they are so slow, i even squeezed 3 bottles through that truck at a 75 shot and it still wasnt that fast.

Mine is a 91. :P It has a sped limiter, but not until at least 120. :o
