Kind of dissapointing first time at the track...

As many of you saw my turbo install and helped me along the way, I thought my car was finally rather 'fast'.

Me and my buddy ryan, both with turbo civics went up to the import event @ lebanon valley yesterday, july 12th.

Here's our slips, boost and everything written on the tops. We were rediculously slow considering. What gives?

PS- We are both intercooled, and I run the AFC hack, ryan runs the blue box. My wastegate was being weird, and my afc only recorded max boost of .4 bar (5.88psi). We were kinda guessing on ryan's car according to the boost gauge so it was anywhere from 6.5-8lbs but we guess 7.5.

face it. its just not going to be extremely fast unless you throw a lot of money into it.

as best i can see one says 15.0 or 15.8 and the other one says 15.4

92mph trap and 88mph trap. thats slow :)

Yeah that does seem disappointing... I thought I saw 15 something runs in there

I would have guessed a lot better than that for you. Then again I'm only expecting mid 14's with 6 psi.

man. i hate to be a ------- but a 88-91 Si Crx/civic runs a 15.3 with just i/h/e and a 89 teg ecu, and you had a turbo. bad bad for that. not that bad for the dx cuz they are gutless but as the z6 -> tune that bitch.

your by no means being an -------. I saw a ------- CRX SI run a 14.5 with just a zc swap and another ran a 15.0 with an LS swap. or maybe it was the other way around... but either way... I am ------- pissed! I'm at stock timing to, so I know that's not the problem. I don't know what to do!

and why my external tial was only giving me 5.88 psi (.4 bar) as my afc recorded as peak boost, I do not know. I just came back from taco bell (hell yeah) and It was hitting .49 bar like it should be... And I didn't change a thing. Weird ::)

5 psi is not enough to make alot of power. Abaz has the saying that 4 psi is like running stock.

Between the fact that the power is not given until you go higher in boost (mostly because of the timing), the massive heat, and traction are probably your culprits.

One other question are you facing boost creep?
