Re: kill switch?

search to find some locations.

then hide it where you and only you would think to look... don't post about it (not saying there are crocks on here, but people can search and find locations)

and don't even tell people about it.

go to drastic measures if need be if you live in a really bad area by using more anti theft techniques

I would use two in line.
That way even if they find one and switch it, the car won't start. This will make them crazy thinking it is something else. They will check and check, until they realize they won't be able to start the car, but they might never know it was the other switch. ;)

Or they'll find both and take the car anyways :-X :S

as far as location, it has to be hidden but easy to get to. You could put it under a seat, on the side of the console, inside the armrest, somewhere behind the dash, or the glove box. But more than likely you'll have to get creative with it.

One guy here talked about a magnetic switch once. Where you can put it under the dash pad, then put a magnet over it to make it work and go. Take off the magnet and you kill the power. I have never seen this work.....or even seen the switch....

my freinds kill switch is installed inside his a/c vent, he has the entire inside painted flat black so u cant see it from the outside he always has an unsharpend pencil in his glove box to flip the switch,
i think its a kick ass place to put a kill switch

I did a fuel pump kill switch. just make sure you wire it up correctly. it took me forever to figure out how to wire it up right...I will prolly add another in line later. thanks for that idea davcivic.

well if you don't like the idea of disconnecting you ECU and taking it with you, then put a switch on the MAP signal wire ... bahahahahaaaaa

Re: kill switch?

wire the fuel pump into the ac button, the best hiding places are in plain view.
but i would have anouther one somewhere else as well.
