twista, jadakis, and g-unit. thats what rap has come to? WOW at least the other kid named guru , mos def and the others. Lets clear something up. Like i said rap started for me in the early 80's with Young Mc, Kool Mo Dee, LL, and whole bunch. It was a beat a sample and lyrics. There was a code to it. Even the Beasties knew it. At some point after Biggie and Tupac, rap turned gangsta and noone cared anymore about the princples of rap. It was about making money and not about making music anymore. Its all about the and1's yo! Even back in the day it was about the adidas, but it was different. Like RA the Rugged man Said "Old school dudes stay true". There is awesome rap out now like alchemist,beatnuts,L7, Dead presidents and a whole ---- load. But there is alot of wack ---- there, more than ever. Rap will always be my favorite because there will always be artists that will remain true and never have a top 40 because and they dont give a ----. look at MobbDeep,Lost Boys,Bobby Digtal,DoggPound,EPMD. I will always love rap, it just gets old seeing white 12year old kids with there hat on sideways disrespeting people and thinking there hard cuz they got 50's new album. It gets old. the love of the music gets lost with money. like DRe said " ---- rap you can have it back". and lace up your And-1's tight cuz your gonna need them.

Well at least some of you know the difference between real and BS hip hop. Don't say hop hop in general is garbage when what you hear is what they play on the radio. That ---- that gets exposure, for the most part, is total garbage. ---- G-Unit, I'm disappointed that they signed Mobb Deep and MOP. Two years ago 50 got rich by clowning on Ja Rule's ****** *** and he's now doing similar stuff, and I heard they're signing Mase?! Wow. There's a lot of good stuff out there today, it disappoints me that its not what's getting attention. If you guys want to listen to some good hip hop, look up Mos Def, Talib Kweli, COMMON (his new album, produced by KANYE, is SICK), The Roots, Atmosphere, Jay--Z's earlier stuff, Heiroglyphics, Alkohliks, etc...

i'm juss reading here and i think some people are mixing up rap with hip hop.....rap is the ---- that 50 cent, the game, twista and all those rappers do....hip hop is ---- that mos def and people like the black eyed peas do, you know stuff that actually has a message instead of rappin about bitches, hos, money, and bentlys

Rap = Hip Hop to the average Joe. Kinda like modded Honda = ricer to your average dude. That's why I've kinda been using the terms synonymously, but I do agree, rap is different from hip hop.
