As a fan of rap ever since i picked up LLcoolJ's "Bad" album in 1985, i can truly say that rap these days sucks balls and people like Kayne west and all the other fagots are ruining the industry

Kanye can produce some dope beats, and I like how he says things that other rappers wouldn't say, like quoting Billy Madison ("you eat pieces of ----?"). However, lyrically, as a whole he really can't cut it. He ruins good beats with his dumbass lyrics. He just doesn't come off as "real" to me half the time.

It's also hypocritical for him to say to put an end to gay bashing when he makes jokes himself. Also, if any rapper were to be gay, he'd probably be the one. Him or LL Cool J.

His beats and ---- are pretty tight, he's got talent in that area. His lyrics however, are decent, but nothing special. He gets more ----- and makes more money than anybody I know, so I'll give him some respect.

the ones who say rap is gay or that rap has gone downhill prob dont listen to it as much or at all. Hip hop is better but there ARE some pretty good rap artist. Like everything else times change people come and go. Its not always going to be like it WAS there has to be new flavor here and there. If your refering to TUPAC or BIGGIE they are gone let it go. I can think of a number of rappers that is pretty good and is on my top list. The rap in the 80's started it all but come on those were the 8o's. Its kinda like nintendo when we all played super mario bros. It was good back then it started it all and the games now aren't like that but can u actually sit there and play that like you did back then? No you play the new stuff just like you listen to the new ----.

i used to be all in to the rap thing ..my opinion it has died out it takes no talent but at the same time it does because if you make your own beats and lyrics then you have talent but like P diddy he used lyrics from other songs for most of his songs...but its like country also its just talking about different thing with a different style beat ...but rock still takes it all because you have to have talent to sing and play drums ect. its not like talking really fast with music in the back gound

twista, jadakis, and g-unit. thats what rap has come to? WOW at least the other kid named guru , mos def and the others. Lets clear something up. Like i said rap started for me in the early 80's with Young Mc, Kool Mo Dee, LL, and whole bunch. It was a beat a sample and lyrics. There was a code to it. Even the Beasties knew it. At some point after Biggie and Tupac, rap turned gangsta and noone cared anymore about the princples of rap. It was about making money and not about making music anymore. Its all about the and1's yo! Even back in the day it was about the adidas, but it was different. Like RA the Rugged man Said "Old school dudes stay true". There is awesome rap out now like alchemist,beatnuts,L7, Dead presidents and a whole ---- load. But there is alot of wack ---- there, more than ever. Rap will always be my favorite because there will always be artists that will remain true and never have a top 40 because and they dont give a ----. look at MobbDeep,Lost Boys,Bobby Digtal,DoggPound,EPMD. I will always love rap, it just gets old seeing white 12year old kids with there hat on sideways disrespeting people and thinking there hard cuz they got 50's new album. It gets old. the love of the music gets lost with money. like DRe said " ---- rap you can have it back". and lace up your And-1's tight cuz your gonna need them.

Well at least some of you know the difference between real and BS hip hop. Don't say hop hop in general is garbage when what you hear is what they play on the radio. That ---- that gets exposure, for the most part, is total garbage. ---- G-Unit, I'm disappointed that they signed Mobb Deep and MOP. Two years ago 50 got rich by clowning on Ja Rule's faggot ass and he's now doing similar stuff, and I heard they're signing Mase?! Wow. There's a lot of good stuff out there today, it disappoints me that its not what's getting attention. If you guys want to listen to some good hip hop, look up Mos Def, Talib Kweli, COMMON (his new album, produced by KANYE, is SICK), The Roots, Atmosphere, Jay--Z's earlier stuff, Heiroglyphics, Alkohliks, etc...
