bakersfield is not boonies boonies lol. My brother in law recently purchased a house in bakersfield and is now going to buy another one. Houses are pretty cheap in the valley yO! i hated living in orange county. It is expensive as ---- to rent, so i moved to minnesota :1

I want a house, but it's too unrealistic right now. My parent's mortgage a month is almost 4 grand, and no they don't live in the rich part of town, it's only like a 35oo square foot house. It's just an okay normal type house.

Bakersfield sucks but hey your right cost of livin is super cheap and since real estate will crash in the next 2-3 years in california even hmters will be able to buy houses

Florida needs to quit their ------- bitching. I used to feel sorry for you ******* on the coast until I come to Okinawa, Japan.
I am in "Typhoon Ally" here. (a hurricane in the w. pacific is called a typhoon) This place gets ---- pounded every year from typhoons. Usually an average of ~10 in about a 4 month span. We have had 2 typhoons in the past 2 months roll through this place (2 missed us) and the typhoon season just started. I cant for the life of me figure out why the coastal areas dont build like the Japaneese do? It makes no sense. This place gets slammed every year by many typhoons and people dont flee...theres no where to go. Your on an island. To me, its common sense, if your gonna live in a place thats goign to get raped by hurricanes, build the place to suit the weather.

Owning a house is great and fun, the payment sucks tho. here in nc a house like that would be under 100k 
we just bought a 1700 sqft 2 story house for 117k. I have always wanted to move to florida but just cant right now. My best advice for you is to get a Home warranty, one month after buyin the house in november our heat went out!!!! $75 and 2 days later we had a brand new unit installed. Be carefull where you get mulch from, termites love the moisture!!!!

Lucky bitch.The tampa area is getting sooo expensive i'm probably going to buy in polk county.Thats a really good find i'm just riding the market and making offers on property since i'm in no rush to buy.
