Just Closed on my House....HURRICANE IS COMING
Like the title says....just got my first home......small but decent, and it is only 8 miles from work.....saves me about $500 o fgas a month...Its better than renting of course :-X :-\ ;D

I found this thing for $113k.....Couple getting divorced, to the point that they hate each other and the husband refused to come into the conference room to sign the papers, he stayed in another room. It's worth more like $175k with a few little fixes. Like grass/sod some cleaning and paint, etc, etc. I will be doing lots of crap to it. now go ahead and start hating.... O0 |

113k wouldnt buy you a crack house in oakland, my house is 2bd 1 bath with a garge nad it would sell for 375 to 450 and its not even in that great of an area

Good job man, nothing like owning your owb place and finally getting a garage. My house here in Seattle is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom and it ran me $265K.

Congratulations though man, I'm living in an apartment and would love my own place and GARAGE. Bitch at the office bitches every time we're working on the car, threatens to tow it and ----. Well guess what, an engine swap and turbo install will be done in the ------ parkin lot. |

thats sweet man im actually closing on my house next weds day 4bdr 2 bath brick in texas only 72k and that included the seller paying all closing cost ill post pics when i get into the new houise

The garage isn't large, but the back yard looks like a canopy and some tools is all you'll need to get an install going. Oh yeah, power wash that roof, son!!!! ;)

Homes on the west coast dont sell anymore. the market is dead. There are thousands of empty new homes in vegas that have bein sitting forover 6+months just for refrence. 90 percent of California is the same. Some areas of Nor Cal you can get a 1500 sq ft home for under 250k and its only goin down.
Good deal cant beat your monthly payment around 600 Im guessing. Congrats |

Yeah, thats nice...here in NJ the prices have finally stabilized but the market is still outrageous. Just closed on my first house a month ago.

It's all about the learning process!! Good deal on the house, I know those aren't Tampa prices you must be North like say Ocala or something. Watch those trees, Next hurricane comes through will have you cryin'. |

Thanks, yeah it is small but it is a lot better than an appartment, and with the money I'll save on gas, and the time, almost 4 hours, that it takes me to get to work I can work over time and pay the house. and it is my own place. oh yeah the payment $549 :6....I thought, might as well do it, before I ---- up my credit.
Plans do include washing the damn roof of course ;), and also sod/grass. This will be the smallest house I've ever lived in, my parents have always had huge homes, their house right now is pretty big around 3800sq ft, 5 rooms 3 baths etc etc.....but I don't need a big house, It's just me. The garage is 14x22......pretty big, but you are right the backyard looks like a nice place to setup a work area. |

I'd say they'd charge around 140k for that house around these parts, depending on where it's located. Housing and such around here is relatively cheap.

i'm a realtor in Washington and the market is going pretty crazy around here but not as crazy as Ca. you can still find homes for 85-100k if you don't mind living in the ghetto but you can get a smaller home in a decent area for around 120K.

I live in san diego and will never be able to own a house here. :'( Thay start off at about 500k for a house just like yours in a really bad area that you would not evan want to drive thru, let alone live there. They say in san diego you need to make 120k a year just to buy a shitty house. Just in rent a pay $1950 for a 2b house in a OK area. I really need to get the ---- out of dago.

Now that I look at it, it seems like some yard and house maintenance and the house would be pretty "Brady". Unless you do an addition or something it's still gonna be the same size, but a house is what you make it.

Where I live in PA houses are dirt cheap! Bought mine last year for $87k...3 bdr, 1900sq.ft. and a 2 car garage 8) Unfortunately wages around here are also cheap, so I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to Jersey every morning for work...down to where Xeno's garage is at in Bloomfield :P Still tryin' to get some spare time when I'm down there to stop in and see the place :D

Yeah Nice house Dave. That house would go for a about 114 here in kentucky where I live you got a great deal for a house in florida. Around here those screened in pourchs add a few thousand to the value of a home.
It's crazy though a sweet 10ft deep inground pool actually brings the value down realestate is weird. |

haha price of housing is sooo crazy on the coasts here in the midwest the prices are pretty calm here are a few examples. but the the quality of living kinda blows.. not very many car guys in my area. a lot of cavys and ---- and the guys with their monte carlos thinkin they are fast. haha idk ppl are stupid hicks here.. :( |

yeah, the real estate market boomed in florida over the last few years, and also peaked. home builders built a shitload of homes in my area just hoping that people would buy them.
i payed $152,000 for mine, 1/2 acre, 3bd,2bath, 2 car garage, above ground pool. i scored a sweet deal. i snap some pics tomorrow when it isn't raining. |

other similar houses I saw where in the 150k range, similar in size, but where all built in the 80's...this one was built in 92....Well I've been painting inside the whole day, can't paint outside, raining like a mofo.....just wanted to check quick...

I just start building one also. even though we are doing 30% of the work, it still cost us 250.000euros calculate that in dollars. but its fully loaded and nice. I could do a step by step hmt house building ;D |
