I've already said that there were block fittings of a different batch without enough meat on the threads (because the port was opened too large) that got into my batch, so it's not his fault that they broke.

It is his fault he can't make his point in English though. :)

i had a problem with my kit too. he said i had a oddball turbo and was quik to correct it. it was the oil inlet on a 14b. no problems with the other ---- cept i didnnt tighten the drain flange enough and it leaked to s carefully snugged it and now everything seems good. i was actually expecting leaks but..

Hey Guys,

The block fitting issue was totally our fault. We had a test batch made for the Nissan guys, and mixed some stuff up that we sent to Steve. The Nissans need more engagement on the threads, so we reduced the diameter for testing. Again it was our fault for this breakage, we zapologize for any inconvenience we have caused with the mixup.

We have literally sold thousands of these particular fittings, and have had only a handful of broken ones. That said, if ANY of you have ANY kind of problems with ANY of our stuff, please contact us for help! HMT is our home, and we will do our absolute best to make it right. (And don't be breaking them intentionally, just to get a free f'n T-Shirt) ;D

As for the 13Ft/Lbs. This is the factory torque setting for the oil pressure sensor, so we adopted this as our reccommended setting for the fitting. We did this to keep guys from really muscling this fitting into the block. It is best to use the smallest range of torque wrench you have that will make the 13lbs. Trying to get a 200Ft/Lb wrench to click reliably at 13Ft/Lbs just ain't gonna happen. If you have to adjust the rotation when you reach the 13Ft/Lbs, do so by loosening, not tightening. You can always go a bit tighter later, if it seeps.

Thanks from Craig

I remember that! I couldn't believe that they were claiming that it didn't fit! It was a direct match to the threads on the factory sensor! Man that pissed me off!

i think they get stuff from function7. i think this for the obvious reason my drain flange says function 7 on it. maybe its there fault
