Junk Cars and there turbos

i recently brought a tow truck and i junk cars for a living, i been comming across alot of turbo sabbs. i got a 89 sabb 900 right now whith what looks to be a t3. just trying to figure out if there are deccent turbos. (off the sabbs) i am sure there decent because thay are free, lol. i am bout to head out and pull it off now. i junked another 9000 with what looked to be a t25 on it, it would of been too much of a pain to get it off.

i look around the forum and i couldent find any threads with info on the stock turbo off a vovlo 740 wagon. i might have on of those today also

i am going to try to use the sabb t3 on my 4g63/4g64 hybird turbo motor for my galant, hopefullt it will be an upgrade to the 14b

lol at that.
i got a question about a specific turbo too. how much would turbos from the chrysler 2.2 turbos be? they were on dodges, plymoths and chryslers i think. the ones i would be getting are off of the dodge shelby chargers.

Same thing as any other T3 .42/.48 in similar condition. Maybe a bit less due to weird flange..

Yeah man, sounds like you could make some serious money on the side for sure...I'd pull the IC, injectors, turbo, BOV and any other forced induction items off of any turbo or supercharged car I came across...

The Saab 900 turbos are the easiest to pull. The 9000 are not that bad either.
Volvos are okay but you have pull the exhaust mani off with it connected. Most of the time there are locking clips also..
The Chrysler ones take a lot of work usually having to pull the head.

Those chrysler turbo are pretty retarded...stupid ass exhaust inlet flange and unless your running a nonfiltered intake setup the compressor housing has a retarded flange. Pretty much just good for throwing through windshields at the junkyard.

i got a question, kinda off topic, but.....anyways, what kind of turbos do they put on the all-terrain forklifts? its a diesel, and its the ones that extends like 24 ft...

thanks guys good to know. ya it looked fucked up with them being hard to reach close to the firewall. and not all that big problbiy good for d-series. but wasnt sure what type of flanges they had and if they were worth anything. some guy had some i could score for cheap but i probibly wont mess with it unless i get a real good deal.

A Chrysler T3 will do fine on a d, its the same as a regular T3 .42/.48 except the flanges.
