Jeep guys, need to know this value

::Cliffs:: Old solid jeep, what's it worth.(why does everyone put these last?)

This guy that does some work for me has been having some really bad health problems and can't really even walk right now. He asked me to try to sell his cj-8 scrambler for him. It is an 82 with 136,000 miles and I have no idea of it's value. It seems really solid for an old jeep with only a few rust spots starting to bubble up. Oh yeah, it's got the 151ci 'Iron Duke' GM motor, 5spd manual tranny, and manual lock front hubs. 4wd and all the major ---- all seems to work, and I've been fixing little ---- like int. lights and sensors this past week.

Any ideas as to how much it's worth? Any places online that could tell me the value?

I'm just trying to gauge a price to ask, and not get the guy ripped off. Any help would be great.

Here are a couple of pics:

And a shitton more in the album:

I'm gonna throw it on the lift and get some pics of underneath tomorrow

Dont take any less than $5k for that. Unless you live near Manchester CT. Then we can work something out!

thanks guys, when i first saw it i was thinking 1500-2000. It was dirty as ---- as he could hardly put 1000 miles on it let alone clean it up. I have to say it shined up pretty well.

Time to be one of those first post for sale people on some jeep forums :3 :P

damn that's pretty clean. If you didn't tell me it was an 82 I would think it's newer. Ebay might be a good idea.

---- I'd love to It's really badass, but I already owe the man a few grand for design work he did for me. After i pay him and sell this he'll still not cover all of his medical bills.

Dude's in sad shape, titanium valves in his heart, pacemaker with a built in defib., on oxygen 24-7, can't go out to get food so it's brought in. ---- costs alot
