Introducing the Flat Rate Gourmet Cook (PICS + 56K warn)

I got a wild hair up my ass to make grub and show up these fools putting down the pics of the ham sandwiches n ----.

Started out with some ground beef.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ketti/meat.jpg

Also some tomato sauce and stewed tomatos, one big can of sauce and one little one, and two cans of the tomatos.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...tti/sauce1.jpg

You gotta drain the tomatos and keep the juice, i put it in this bowl

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...tti/sauce2.jpg

Next comes the veggies, no canned ---- here.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...tti/veggie.jpg

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com.../mushrooms.jpg

Sauteeing the onions, green peppers, and mushrooms, softens them up so you dont have to simmer so long, and adds the kickin flavor.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/veggie2.jpg

Gotta dice up those tomatos

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...tti/tomato.jpg

all done

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/tomato2.jpg

jdm knife yo, thing cost like 80 bucks, silly roommate.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...etti/knife.jpg

Next add in the sauce

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/simmer1.jpg

add in the peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatos

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/simmer2.jpg

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/simmer3.jpg

Time for basil, oregano, pepper, garlic, and salt

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/simmer4.jpg

You've slaved over the stove, go have one of these and let it simmer a while

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/corona1.jpg

Its been simmering a while, time to thin it out a bit. This is where the juice from the tomatos comes in

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...etti/juice.jpg

Now you've got something like this, let it simmer a while more

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/simmer5.jpg

oh yeah and get another one of these

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...ti/corona2.jpg

Now its time to start some noodles and bread. a big pot and water, some oil and boil that shiznit.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...i/noodles1.jpg

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...i/noodles2.jpg

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...i/noodles3.jpg

Get a nice loaf like this and slice it up, butter it up, garlic it up, wrap it up in foil, and toss it in the oven at 350 for a bit.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...tti/bread1.jpg

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...tti/bread2.jpg

Now you're done, get yourself a plate of some noodles n sauce.

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...etti/done1.jpg

Dont forget the freshly grated parmesean cheese

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...etti/done2.jpg

And here is the end result with bread all said and done

http://www.centerlinemotorsports.com...etti/done3.jpg

The longer it sits in the pot and stews the more flavorful it gets. This one turned out really good.

I'd like to thank Albertsons for the supplies. Also I'd like to thank Japan for the mad tyte knife yo. (seriously that thing could got my engine block in half i swear. Finally I'd like to thank mexicans, for inventing Corona, and to whoever thought up using lime in it.

Disclaimer: This may cause heartburn. It's got bite.

---- that. If I was hungry at 5pm I would be dead by 8:40 if I didn't eat. I could drive to the second closest Del Taco, drive back home, eat, and take a ---- faster than that. :-\

When I started I wasn't hungry and I wanted something I could take to lunch at work for the next few days.

I made a ---- ton of this sauce.

Ok now I have to break down the price list.

1 yellow onion
2 green peppers
noodles
sauce and tomatos
fresh mushrooms
fresh italian bread
12 pack of dr. pepper
1 pound of ground beef

all that for just over $20, wasn't too spendy.

ps - i had a very busy weekend and i work full time weekdays, the sunday at home was a nice break.

i dont eat ground beef, mad cow disease pwns me, if you read about it you'd be scared too

that ---- eats your brains 7-10 years after it remains dormant in your body, and during those 7-10 years it is undectable, and once it has become active and it is detectable, it is too late to do anything about it, and it eats your ------ brain. its nice knowin ya fook. i'll send a turbo as condolances to your family.

Oh man that looks sooo good, I'm gonna try that. the other night I made tacos, no quick job either. Baked the hard shells, heat the soft shells, lay out a counter top of toppings, made nachos. I stuffed myself but it was awsome.

wait.. no sugar? Sugar kills the acid in the sauce, you put just a small amount to rid the acid

Not to bad ...Im a chef and i can tell you anyone who cuts a lot of food hates global knifes. The edjes cut into your fingers after a while. I have a couple of "JDM" knifes that are in that price range and i have a couple that are over 120 dollers 0.o. My favorite knife though is my 10 doller cleaver. =)

when I was in socal I picked up a knife at the 99cent store, that knife was a champ. then the next time I went to the 99cent store I got another knife and I already broke it, oh well, I can weld a new handle on it.
