integras....

ive been thinkin of getting a 90-93 integra lately and just cant decide to get one or not.... i want to get one because i like the boxy look of it and its just as good as my hatch(d15) for engine mods(b16) but better in many respects......but i dunno yet i already got 2 cars and still no damn lisence which i will be gettin in about 3 weeks, becasue i have no insurance yet.....or plates..... but will be gettin better job to help soon......tell me if ya think its a good idea to sell the hatch and get a integra or just do nothing at all.......to many damn hatches here in my area anyways.......integra would be a good change of pace for the ricers around here thinkin there hatches are the ----....huh......

alright alright. Here's the way I make decisions:

Sell all of your cars and buy a 90-93 integra and boost the bee-yitch. Too many projects at once= no traction.

D series, cheap as hell to set up.

DA integra, I've always liked them more then the American DC.

You decide; we're not driving it ;)

guess your right........98 it is........

Re: integras....

lookin at the pic....if they used the DC core support and did everything right there should be like 4 inchs more room for a big ass turbo ;)

good luck trying to find a clean car...

turboDA6 05-14-2006 12:47 AM

Re: integras....

that front end defy's ur purpose of "boxy"... if you get a da, get the 92-93, you can put more motors in there since its already obd1, i kno you can convert obd0 to obd1 but why when that chassis came obd1... unless you like using TE and choose ur car from what program ur gonna use lol... i had a da, i love it, it felt fast when it was turbo... stock motor with 180k+ miles at 14psi daily for over 14months, it was fun

but there so heavy....

salesmonkey 05-14-2006 01:36 AM

Re: integras....

just stick with what you got. your not even driving yet. you can always do engine swaps in either one. but i would stick with the lighter one, because your always going to want to go faster and the lighter you are the easier it is.

turbohf 05-14-2006 02:33 AM

Re: integras....

bah, i dont go to the street races...i know my GSR is slow...dont need to prove that to some ricers... i plan on building a hatch. it will handle better and be way faster than my teg for sure... the teg is great for cruzin in, AC power windows nice interior etc... its my daily beater and its good at it :)

I like hatches an all but everyone has one here, so I got my DA. Few hundred pounds lighter, so they will run 11.0 and I run 11.3, I think Ill take that 0.3 for something different and better looking :y

ill sell you my 95 for 3000

Re: integras....

Since it sounds like you're pretty broke, just stick with the hatch for now if it runs.

I drive a DC and I love it. I'd rather have a lighter car as a "race car" though. Which is why I'm looking for a DA for cheap to gut and drive solely at the track and a few days a week. The DAs do look nice too, its just a HUGE difference from the 94 ups. Its like going from a box car to a bubble mobile...given some people hate one or the other, but i just like em both.

you got no love for DA's lol

Re: integras....

DAs from factory have pretty stiff chassis
They do feel heavier than they really are though

Loserkidwac 05-14-2006 11:45 AM

Re: integras....

I love my CRX but I bought a DA for a daily driver with plans to boost for many reasons, #1 there is always like 5 in the junkyard so I can get parts for really cheap if you are going to get one as some one said before get a 92-93 the bumpers and tail lights ate way better and yea you can swap them but why not start out with them and obd1...they are a little heavier but only a few hundred pounds depending on the year they are 2600lbs. and if you do some weight savings you can get them lower but they also have all the nice features your civic dosen't have power everything and a sunroof and stock b series, so its pretty much your call if you want a nice cruiser with some potential get one if you want a fast race car stay with the civic

Re: integras....

i planned on it being my daily beater as well too..... id want to keep the hatch becasue i know its better to build on becasue of the wieght and size.....just gotta find a deal thats good enough around here or jsut out of town...... if i could just find a shell and put my d15 from my hatch in it'll be smooth......so i could get the ls/vtec for my hatch like i want and boost the ---- out of it......

Find a cheap DA with A/C and power steering. You'll love it.

how about you just sell all of your ---- and buy a dependable daily driver? :l

Re: integras....

for one, the nova is very hard to find and im not getting rid of it anytime soon, second, the civic has over 800 dollars in new parts on it and i wont even get that for it around here even with all the damaged bodywork i fixed on it......

Re: integras....

DA can range from $500-$3500 depending on year and model GSR-GS-SE-LS-RS and may be even more depending one your area

sounds reasonable around here as well.....i live in a ghetto city where ---- comes and goes without warning or even notice......do you say 500 for a shell or running DA......theres a DC at the junkyard but its fucked over bad........ i cant get the motor becasue the block cracked in the acceident as i found out by further investigation, dont know how the hell that happened......even civics and crx's are very rare to be found in my area at the juckyard.......ima have fun with this search........

Loserkidwac 05-14-2006 11:55 PM

Re: integras....

Well I'm about to buy another I found for under $1000 well under but you can find deals depends who has it, the one i have sitting here now is in almost perfect shape needs a few things and I paid less than $1000...Our JY had 2or 3 CRXs for a while, none currently usually has has 3-5 DAs, currently ther is 3 DC which is rare, 3-5 EG civics and a hand full of EFs...Oh and DA shells sad to say are pretty much worthless, the engine and trans is whats valuable I wouldn't pay more than 300 or so for a mint/pefect shell...where are you located I seem to have luck finding nice DAs if you aren't to far maybe I'll pass of a deal to you
