TinyXP, install with driverpacks, Done.
I never could slipstream my WD Raptor (bought first month they were out) drivers to work on XP. That drive ALWAYS needed drivers, even with most of the slipstreamed disks you can torrent. TinyXP driverpack - never had a problem with it!

Virtual Box is what I would do. VirtualBox is a free virtual server that allows you to run other operating systems inside of a host computer without needing to install the operating system and without the need for dual booting. VirtualBox will make it easier to try different OSs without having to modify your computer.

1)Go to http://www.virtualbox.org/ and download the version of VirtualBox for your computer (versions are available for Windows, Linux, and OSX)
2) Install VirtualBox on your computer.
3) Place the run your xp cd as a ISO image.
4) Start VirtualBox and mount your CD-ROM drive. “Boot Up” Xp.
5) Your done.
