wrc 3sgte >: )

Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
2jz, 1000 hp bottom end stock
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
if the 2jz is better why don't denso and toms use it in their race cars :P
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
i voted for the EJ25, mainly because the sound of a boxer 4 with the right exhaust sounds supreme, and also the H4 can take a real good beating.

Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
Whatever the 4 Rotor in the 787b was...
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
I voted vg30...just because I used to have one and I know what they can do. They take one hell of a beating and keep asking for more, and have awesome torque to match.
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
i can't believe people are voting b-series ::)

I would choose any japanese I6 . RB26 or 2jz or L28 cuz of there strong ass bottom ends
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
i can't believe the honda b series is beating the RB and 2jz :S
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
2JZ hands down. Nothing else up there you can make 1000hp on the stock bottom end
|

Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
the rb26 is a worthless heap, in stock form
the 2j is ------- heavy and the people with the power have it for about 2k rpms 20b's are 3 rotor, id rather have the 13b if I had to choose, I wouldnt mind having a rb26 completly rebuilt the way it was meant to be...costing about... $15k. I also wouldnt mind having a 13b built with everything there is to build it with... and I still love my B series motor. Many different ways to build it...especially with the aftermarket support. in stock form, i'd have a hard time choosing. I think id still rather have my R, and I haven't drivin it hard yet. |
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
2jz obviously.

18rgeu, toyota
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
Saab B202 ------- iron monster. Obviously the uber rare JDM Saab b202 lol. Naw, I'd take any of the Japanese straight 6's in a heartbeat. Built RB or 2J.

2jz I loved that motor. but since I own a honda B series of course, and I saw the potential of the K series motors I may look into building and boosting one.
K series 2jz but I would not want it in a supra. |
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
Suzuki H27 V6 with a H20 crank. 2.5 liter V6 with 69mm stroke for those 10k rpms all day long.

K-series = ignorance. |

Never worked on or anything with a 2JZ motor, but if it came with the car...yes that'd get my vote. JP |
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
I think someone mentioned how JDM engine supply is rubbing low?
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
Donald, how is the CDM engine supply looking?
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
I voted B based on
1. after market support 2. reality, I can afford to build a complete B, and I feel a B would give the most return on horse power for limited money invested. |

Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
I think if I could pick any engine under the sun I would have to pick anything out of the LSx series.
But if I had to pick from JDM engines I suppose I would go with the most expensive so I could sell it and get me an LSx |
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
D SERIES FOR THE MOTHER ------- WIN
Beating someone with a motor that came in almost every honda civic is pricless. |
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
i voted b series because i like it the most out of the motors that would fit in my car :1
|
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
well I did not know the K's were that shitty I base my opinion off the fiew that I see making great power.
but either way B series vtec is the way to go. fully built and boosted ofcourse. |

Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
I voted B series simply because of the price. I know the question was if you could pick any....but that doesn't include the parts. Of those engines a boosted built B series for my daily driving purposes would be best for me.
This all could be changed if someone donated a E86 also ;D |
Re: If you could pick any japanese engine, what would it be?
LMAO I wouldn't pick any of them.
They'd all be Toyota's tho... Cept maybe the odd 13b, or 20b installation for funzies. 1gz-fe = 5.0L v-12 3ur-fse = 5.7L v8, direct injection & dual vvtl-i uz-fe family of v8's for insane hp per dollar. Or the older 3vz-fe / 5vz-fe v6's. I'd never pick an i4 to start a project. If you can fit an i4. You can fit a much higher potential, and more powerful v6 into the same space. |
