Re: I need advice.
LS motor/tranny from a yard $300
TT rods $300
used pistons $300
bearings $100
machine shop to assemble that $400

$1400 in a bottom end that will be solid
put another $800 into getting your head cleaned up, put some GSR cams in it, better intake mani/throttle body maybe...get your LSvtec lines...
then you have $2000 to build your turbo stuff.
you should be able to build a bad *** car for $4000. Even if you went with a stock bottom end, 270-300hp isnt uncommon on bottom ends anymore...just gotta find the right person to tune it.
---- a stupid *** 300z. They are very unimpressive for what they are. twin turbos, the ****** weighs almost 2 tons. It needs a pair of turbos...hell, where im from, that car wouldnt be allowed across some bridges.

Re: I need advice.
For $4k ur only gonna find a tt Z32 WITH problems...Those cars in good shape are still considered RELATIVELY valuable...Put the 4k into fixing the problems with the hatch you already have...And I wouldn't be SO deadset on swapping in a B series...If you haven't noticed, there have been SEVERAL D series engines making SERIOUS power on this site lately...I PERSONALLY would just as soon have a BUILT DOHC nonVtec D series as I would a B series...
