im here ------s. LONG as ---- plane ride, and with going though the intl. date line, we lost a day, so that really throws ---- off. like right now, its 5:45am wed. now, in the states its still tuesday afternoon/late afternoon.

whats this place like? well, I have only been a few blocks in one area, but its pretty cool. kinda cluttered, lots of ---- in a small place.

the cars...EVERYTHING is turbo. it seems like every other car says turbo on it. skylines run around here like escorts in the states. lots of motorcycles/mopeds, and they ride with no rules. so at a stoplight they just take off right up the traffic. hondas are few and far between. i have seen lots more mazdas, nissans, toyotas than anything. no one washes there cars. WTF. the most bad ass car i seen so far...the nismo racing edition skyline in the dark blue color. there was a STI that went by also, that that thing sounded mean as hell.

im pretty culture shocked right now, but im sure it will wear off when i can get out and roam around a little, and finally get my house. we are in a motel right now. the beach is beautiful as hell. 75% of everything is in engish. most places have japanese writing on everything but at the bottom it says "we speak english" which i expected.

here are a few pictures from flyin in. like I said, ive only been a few blocks, so im sure the entire island doesnt look like this. im gonna take more pictures today. i was only out for aobut 3 hours yesterday.

ooo yeha, a tsunaumi is on its way. they have 4 levels of threat, 4 beaing no threat, 1 being during the tsunaumi, we are on level 3. on level 2, everything gets shut down. that should be fun.

mcdonalds doesn't taste right over there. you'll see if you havn't already. its pretty tight thou. you gonna check out some sick-azz old castles and ----??? i recommed it. tight ----.

im in Oki. we flew into Kadena AFB.
and yeah, we flew from LA to seattle (3 hours) , seattle to Korea (12 hours) korea to japan (2 hours) and yes, all coach. I got a isle seat, so it wasnt bad.
and yes, i plan on checking this island out. i will be here for 3 years. ;)

3 years?? damn. that should be tight thou. i flew straight there from detroit in 11 1/2 hrs. i hated it. i was only there for three weeks. ya watch out for those bikes and mopeds 'n ----. they're ------ nutz.

haha, overseas n00b I take it? The cars are the same here, turbo everywhere. But ---- is in Italian, not english, and there are Renaults and Fiats, not mazdas and toyotas. A lot of Mitsu suv's and trucks though. Got an ex that is movin to Oki in 21 days. Hope ya like it.

all is well.i drove around a little today, farther than a few blocks, and dam, there are alot of dirty places....well, not dirty, but no one mowes the grass or trims the trees.

Renaults and Fiats are pretty popular, but you see just as many mazdas and toyota's. and italian, not english, i havent seen one italian thing yet. dont know what the ---- your talkin about. ???

murdoc...we finally got into LA -then to our hotel by about 1am, and by after all of that, we were just ready to go to bed. flyin was no fun, then the next day we had to catch a bus...we had no extra time like I thought we would be able to have. :-\

my house...well, we are in a long term motel/apartment right now. when we got here and got to this place I was like WTF, it serisouly looked like we were walking into a restraunt freezer and there are bars over all of the windows. i was like, is this the ------ ghetto, then later we learned most of everything is over there because of the tsunaumi's which can be alot more crazy than a hurricane. they have recorded wind speeds up to 183mph :o

every car that ive looked at buying so far has been automatic. the person that is showing me around has an auto skyline, which is still bad ass, but why. LOTS of auto hondas which i always thought a B series auto tranny was "very rare" in japan. its all i see. ???

no one mowes the lawn an no one paints there ---- over here. so everyhing kinda looks trashed. (everywhere ive been)
recycling is insane here. in this apartment we have 5 trash cans. all must be lined with clear liners. glass, burnables, non burnable paper (that wax coated ----), plastic, and regular trash. you have to wash all of your recyclables. thats japanese culture, not military.

the thing that sucks right now. we have 1 ------ TV station. i am SOO happy i got this laptop. :P

im suspossed to go out this weekend for a day of car shopping and im hoping the spoon/veilside shop is open. they are suspossed to have this CRX with a spoon motor/spoon components in it for $1,100 which is good to drive until feb. -all of the fees that you have to pay is insane to drive. although, its a one time fee and it makes the vehicle good for 2 or 3 years, whichever you pay for. so say for instance you go to the junkyard, find a perfectly good car (which is a common thing) you can buy the car for $50. pull it out of the yard, clean it up, lube everything, and then put it through the inspections, and pay the taxes (about $1,500) and you have yourself a perfectly good car. (so thats how I understood it)

anyways, heres a coke can. :P

have you noticed how clean everything is? when i was there i couldn't even find a cigarette butt or a gum wrapper on the ground.

check out some of the used car lots. the cars are dirt cheap!
