seriously, i thought the same thing. But i really think nintendo is onto somehting by changing up the gameplay rather than trying to make the graphics so good that your eyes bleed. I played Zelda on a wii and i couldn't put it down, it was incredible. It makes you feel more "in" the game.

yeah i love my 360...always been a playstation fan...but i really want a Wii...too bad i cant find em anywhere..i think more get shipped out around the 17th of this month so ive heard...im not payin 400+ off ebay, when i can wait and get one locally for $250. i played one at EBgames and its fun as hell..

i really don't see the big deal with ps3, contoller is basically the same, graphics are better, but if your tv blows the you really won't notice anyway, and aside from the PSP-like interface, what's really that different?

Now i'd like to see someone compare a gamecube and wii ;) Nintendo's finally bringin it back.

Regular Nintendo will always be my favorite, but the Wii is the ----! Everybody should go try it out, bowling, golf, baseball, tennis, boxing, etc... defintely a fun drunk game.

360 has the graphics no doubt. and the ease of playing homebrews and burned/copied games...but the Wii has a playability advantage..looks alot more fun to play than sittin in a chair..more involved gameplay..

the only thing that i dont like about the wii is that nintendo charges too much for the oldschool games. i mean, 5 bucks for a games that 10 or 20 years old is a bit too high when it isnt costing them anything to produce. if it where more like maybe a couple of bucks i might go with it. thank god for emulators.

I've played a coupel times at my friends house and have been the search for a Wii ever since, for the price it is the best system that has come out in like 10 years and it is a tone of fun to play... a guy on a local car forum posted a pic of him play using a HD projector, makes everything life size...then you really feel like youa r ein the game...

NFS Carbon was awesome too, steering with the remote was really easy and the sensativity was perfect :y

Wait til our 120" diy hd projector setup is done :) Will have pc (with emulators/roms/360 control :P), doug284s ps3, xbox 360, a nice 7.1 home theater, and maybe a wii later on...

i've never heard of a DIY HD projector, don't think thats possible

i think wii is overrated. i played zeld and the games it comes with. it a better designed power glove.
i hate people that think you have to swing it like a tennis racket or sword. just a wrist flick will do the same. just my opinion

I'm using a 1280x1024 (full 720p) in mine, and someone was gonna give a 1920x1080 (yes, 1080p) panel but it has a superslow 25ms response. My 720p panel has 4ms response and i like to game

computers own, i dont give a ---- what anyone says. ---- 360 ---- ps3 ---- the gook wii it just sounds retarded, when you can upgrade everything inside one of those pos money pits then i might reconsider, the graphics arnt bad but computers are better by far and i dont have to stand in some mile long line with a bunch of nut cases all googali eyed over some shitty console beside you can get dam near every game for a pc that you can consoles. computers ftw!

lol i'm not going to argue with you, you're a moron.

Just because it isn't commercially made doesn't mean it's not any good. The only difference is they use smaller lcd panels and bulbs that cost $250 each instead of $30 ::) I've seen them BOTH in person and the quality is based on the builder. Personally I'd rather spend $400-500 on a 1280x1024 GOOD LCD with 6500k 400w high lumen bulbs and all that bullshit "other than resolution" instead of a small, fancy one with 1024x768 resolution, slower response, lower lumens, etc that costs $1000+

Why the ---- are you on hmt? if you do homemade turbos whats wrong with homemade projectors?

did you call consoles a money pit?? What a ------- dumbass, mycrx. Hmmmm $500-600 for a good video card or $400 for a console that comes with video card, harddrive, soundcard, disc drive, processor, etc etc. Overall comps might be cheaper because games can be free, but they can be free on consoles as well and you don't have to spend ridiculous amounts of money on hardware. A "good" pc is more of a money pit than a console will ever be.

BTW ahole, the lcds in the projector are lower quality than monitors (unless you spend thoooousands). Usually smaller stuff doesn't have as great of features as their larger counterparts...dunno if you ever noticed.

have you ever put that up to a real projector to see the difference? i guess thats why they don't come in a giant plywood box too.
i plan on getting a projector here soon, for my basment i am finishing off. i'm not gonna get some 1080p projector or anything, there are reasonably price good projectors out there. i guess i just wouln't see the point of the homemade one for anything beside ------ around with video games every once and a while



oh and in that picture....so what. its a picture from a camera you put on the internet.
i can't tell if thats super sharp or anything, all i can tell is its a picture of a girl w/flowers in here hair. i might think different if i saw it in real life.

btw I have a built computer (ordered parts from newegg) and play games on it. But before I spend $600 on a compy video card i'll go buy a used 360 for $300, hack it, download/rent and copy the games on a $1 disc. I would buy a pc before I bought a video game system, but i'd buy a video game system before i'd build a "mad tyte gaming rig"

eh, computers can be money pits when it comes to gaming, but not really. 600 on a video card is an 8800gt, which is pure madness. 6800gt can play most of anything and still look damn good. A decent gaming computer would set you back about 7-8 hundred, and will be able to play all the games worth playing for years to come, even after microsoft or sony comes out with a new consle. Comp's are good for games like FPS, RPG and RTS games. Consles absolutley suck on fps or real time strat, but comp's suck at fighter/racing games or a quick multiplayer game with friends. I wouldn't waste money on an xbox 360 or a ps3, but I would buy a wii just because it does what consels are good for, which is playing with friends and being fun.

I'm going to haev to build one of those projectors :)
