I should have used a different word, I wasn't referring to the political party when I was describing what kind of government spending we should have (less). I was using the word conservative to describe more cautious government spending, or spending in moderation. Both cautious and moderation are in the webster's definition, but I should have used a different word in that context.

By all means, you don't have to look far to see that conservative(Republican) presidents are good at spending retarded amounts of money as well. The most recent war and all this nuclear stuff you talk about was a bad financial decision at best, but at the very least a decent national security decision (the war anyways). I'm not sure it's a good idea to leave the world unchecked, but drawn out occupying wars are not the answer either.

Even a durka has figured it out. In 2006 the democrats said the election was a referendum on the war, and to this day they still vote to fund it, Only after adding in millions for their pet projects. On the other hand, the "fiscally responsible" Republicans say, "What? Only 50 million more in the bill and we get our war funding? Let's make a deal."

They should all be sent to gitmo as enemy combatants of the people.
