First of all, why you guys talking ---- about 1/4 mile times and the turbo kits. maybe some of us aren't looking to go real fast. maybe we just want out rides to have a little more power in them and learn a bit. Some of us aren't mechanics, but do more or less important things. As for that 13 sec run, hey why you talking ----. You DOHC's ditch it and get a SOHC. Then try do the same.

2ndly, this irritation is justified. Would you appreciate it if i came to your house and pissed in your pool? If you really are saying that you're not the one being immature, look what you just did at turbod16. Real mature

He's got a point here. He said it himself TurboD16 is not about making their car's go fast they just want a little extra power and thats why they look up to a 13.998 timeslip. Its just two different websites with 2 different goals. HMT wants to learn through building and Turbo16 would rather take Greddy's word for it and not bother with the process

I just read this whole post and after I finished laughing my *** off at the funny ---- stealthy and hotrex said I have to agree with whitey (aka international). The sites are different in a lot of ways. We don't really tolerate anyone asking questions about speakers or wings or body kits or any of that stupid ----. Turbod16 has a category dedicated to it, looks like.

We are all about performance here, as shown by the topics created, it's hard to find one about ricer ---- unless it's us making fun of it. We flame for stupidity. We also crave knowledge. A year ago, before I found this site, I was gonna save up for a turbo kit. Now that I have seen the light and made my own turbo kit, swapped engines, installed a roll cage, etc I know my car pretty well and I've learned a lot.

I'm probably rambling on here but one point I'd like to make is that if I had installed a greddy kit or something similar on my car I wouldn't have learned anything. That principle applies to everything in life. If you're just told what to do and given the supplies and instructions, you will have no questions and won't learn anything. I have run into many problems and many questions and I've solved them with the help of this site. I can't say that for any other site on the internet, I don't even visit any other forums.

Anyways my fingers hurt so I'm gonna go browse some other topics.

to sleepercivicex99,
I really respect your car, It is probably (as per your SN) the most sleeper civic I've ever seen. I might not have gone the same route as you (I couldn't afford it while building my setup anyway) but at least your setup worked the day you put it on then again mine cost $1000 less.

to pollito,
I was a member at turbod16 before i was a member here. And out of everybody there I remember you having reasonable, logicale , correct things to say. I'm happy that you're over here too. I hope this doesn't turn you away from our site as a whole. there's just little things about our site that take some, umm, getting used to.

to steve,
I laughed at that post on turbo d16, i was there too. most of those guys are ------ goons.

to hotrex,
steve's car will be faster then yours, if it's not i'll turn up his boost while he's sleeping.

We should figure out what the retail is on a greedy kit and have a showdown. Show what both sides can do with the same amount of cash. Of course, they would never go for this, but it sounds like a good idea.

I'm gonna go post a thread about how "I need step by step instructions to put a turbo kit on" and see how long it lasts. LOL

it was a reply to someones post just an estimate

You could build a bad *** kit with all brand new parts for the same amount of money after you pay for a greddy and be running higher boost and putting more down at the wheels

For instance
Manifold and downpipe-300
CCA intercooler -230 shipped
Rebuilt t3-$350
Stealthmode oil lines-80 shipped
VAFC-250
Rc 440 injectors-225
Charge pipes-175
turbonetic wastegate-200
RFL bov-130
walbro 255 fuel pump-100
gaskets, welding, extra parts-125

By my calculations that comes out to $2165 and that kit would be 100 times better than the greedy oh i mean greddy kit and also if you fabricated your own oilines, manifold, downpipe, charge pipes you could knock a couple hundred dollars off that price

greddy kit with shipping 1475
greddy intercooler and piping 550
bov-130
bov adaptor plate-15
Any welding i.e. oil pan, bov-50

you will spend about $2220 and be gay

you will eventually upgrade anyways and the turbo and gay *** blue box will need to be the first things you would need to change. do yourself a favor save money and build it yourself
