I hate leaks (got a Q)

well, these are dry leaks, but they still suck.

Those gaskets I made for the HF manifold, and the turbo side are in fact leaking and I didn't know about it.. I always have heard the exhaust from up front, but thought it was my downpipe connection to the turbo, but I was wrong. I have to rip everything back out and get new gaskets, but that's my question.

Where can I find the gasket for the bottom of the HF manifold? And also one for the IHI RHb5 Turbo square flange? I'm sure glad I found these leaks though, I'm sure I was loosing a great deal of power. I need those gaskets! At least I'm not driving the rex now, so no big hurry, but any help would help me out a lot.

Where would i get gaskets for a greddy manifold and a 15g turbo. Ive already tried contacting greddy and no one has e-mailed me back. Is there some kind of material i can buy that i can custom fit to my needs?

you can probably make your own gasket?

Re:I hate leaks (got a Q)

Does anyone know what kind of material i could use.(sheet metal maybe? or will that get too hot?) I need to make a gasket for my 15g turbo. Im not sure exactly where it's leaking, but it leaves my heat shield black in one spot, which greatly narrows it down. I was wondering if i could use something rather than buy the "real" gaskets, cause greddy won't talk to me :(

Really thin sheet metal should work. Maybe use a couple layers.

How resiliant is it to heat? What will happen to it under that amount of heat? Also, will it form a good seal if it's torqued down really well?

Only one way to find out. ;) It should hold up fine. Some of the gaskets on my setup seem to be made out of sheet metal and they hold up fine.
