I hate it...
..that I got layed off and am now unemployed. But what I hate even more, is when someone calls me yesterday and asks if I want to cover their shift for today (and I say yes), but then when I get there, I'm immediately set home. WHY?!? Because it wasn't cleared through our Food and Beverage Director. I'm sorry, I didn't know Supervisors had to do that. AND, wtf! It's not MY fault she didn't clear it with your dumb ass, but don't penalize ME for her failure to do what you want. So yea, they now have ONE server for an entire lunch crowd today, instead of two. FUCKERS! >:(

Sorry to hear ya got layed off. The last job I had layed me off on my 21st birthday... nice birthday present huh. I didn't really have many bills so the $94 a week I got from unemployement was more than enough (minimum you can get in Oregon). I milked that for a while until I got the job I have now.
I guess try and search online or go around and start applying to as many places as you can. I bet you will be able to get another job in no time. :) |

I worked at Corvallis Country Club. I've been thinking about going and applying for a job at the Country Club in Albany. I know they compete sort of, but I don't know if they are American Golf or not. *sigh* I haven't decided if I want to bother getting on unemployment or just bug the ---- out of people until they give me a job. I don't even know if I qualify, I know nothing about unemployment. So yea, I should probably go looking for a job today huh. :-\

yeah do that. When i found this job i quick my last job a week before i had to work at my new job. All I did was have fun and enjoy the moment until i knew i had to work again. I say go party with your girlz and shake what your mommy gave you! ;)

My dog had suergery...there was a thread made about it...instead of her recoop taking a week and a half, it turned into over a month. It's been a ------- lousy last month and a half. And I really wanted to go to Whistler. But I can't afford it.

didnt i see in another post that you had snow on the ground where you live Mary? Just call me stupid but i dont think golf clubs and country clubs are actively hireing this time of year. your boss probebly let you go cuz it's the slow time of year. where are you from..? i know people all over. ia am an Executive Chef in MA. and i have lots of contacts all over the US. let me know.

There is little to no snow left on the ground where I am. And whether or not people come out to the course to golf, is not the reason I was let go. They hold mass amounts of banquets, meetings, parties, and organizations such as Rotary, use the club house every week for their deal. It's just that they've hit a slow period, like you said. But it's not the golfer's attendance that determined my being let go.
