I agree. Cops will have no mercy if they catch you with fake tags(from another car). If you have no tags and a bill of sale they will probably just let you go home with no ticket or anything. Happened to me plenty of times. I drove a car from CA 300+ miles with nothing but a bill of sale. Got pulled over about 20 miles from home and showed the cop the bill of sale and he said have a nice night.

DO NOT SWAP TAGS
It carries a lot more of ---- than a regular traffic infraction.
I got arreseted and charged w/ a misdemeanor for altering a temp tag. Still going to court for it. Took a black sharpie to the 7 and made it an 8.... completely obvious if you're looking but ---- it i'm a dumb *** and my cousin in law is a fantastic attorney.

Another time i got very lucky because i had the tags off a black 3 series on a black 5. They just ran the plates and heard black bmw. So it was all good. I wasn't even driving it was parked illegally but from what i heard they can impound the car. Do you have anyidea how hard it will be to get a car out of impound that technically you don't own if it isn't titled in your name??

Be smart the first time around and you'll be a lot better off, even if it costs a couple extra bucks. I learned that the hard way after last summer. Two cars got impounded....impound fees; legal fees; fines....there goes your profit if you're trying to flip them for a couple dollars.

I mean i'm not saying i'm one to evade taxes butttttt 600 is a lot to register that.... shouldn't be more than four, four fifty max....

It's an old car, look around what beat up ones are going for. Or take the wholesale value. 1995 is more than 10 years old. It's exempt from stating the mileage.....

I should probably be knocking on wood because with my luck i'll get indicted on monday for tax evasion.

You don't pay tax in va. Only where the cars gonna be registered and that's ny and in ny the very credible register gets to declare the value..... read the dtf802 form. They try to scare you with the consequences of tax evasion.
