There is no hate. Its just that some things are functional and some arent. HMT has allays been about functionality over form. You a long time member. You should know that You want praise for carbon fiber go to HT.

Re: I decided to go carbon
There's no way in hell to order 100 carbon pieces for a car from 100 different manufacturers and have a chance in hell the carbon will all look the same. I vote carbon fiber vinyl for the whole car. Much cheaper.

Re: I decided to go carbon
yeah but their are some real ricers out there that live by the JDM word, all typ of japanes stickers, painted parts black, flat black paint, red wheels, white wheels, red seats, right hand drive conversion on us cars, the BIGGEST JDM RICE IS THE GAUGE CLUSTER
why would you wanna change out your gauge cluster from the US one that reads 120mph and 240kph for something that reads 180kph in a country that goes off mph not kph. plus it does not make sense.
hold up I got one more (the stacking of washers on the hood hinges) the removal of wiper blades.
if JDM means stock leave the USDM cars USDM and the EDM cars EDM . see my point about different strokes for different folks?
I like carbon some like JDM, you say tomato I say tomäto. you say mother ******! I say madda *****!

civics body panels don't weigh ---- anyway, its useless 100% for looks, you'll never notice any weight difference. If you like the looks thats fine, but don't try to argue functionality or talk about painting it because it's not functional and if you spent money on CF to paint it you're retarded.
Carbon fiber is made for light weight STRUCTURAL applications, where its vacuum molded everything else is aesthetic. If you're concerned with aesthetics and you find it appealing then do whatever, who are any of us to ell you what to do with your money.
On the other hand, who are you to tell us we cant make fun of you for it if thats what we enjoy doing?

Believe it, or not, body panels have dimples stamped in then so they crumble and absorb the impact in a crash. Carbon fiber is not made to crumble or break for that matter. I hate to see what a carbon fiber door will do on impact in a "t" bone crash. I'm pretty shure a carbon fiber wont faire verry well in a rear end crash eather.............
