I've only driven one fox body aggressivly 2-3 years ago. late 80's (maybe early 90s) 5.0 GT, i believe. It had a few mods, IIRC, it would be pretty close in a straight line, cornering the fox body was not very confidnence inspiring. Th 350z just has way more technology into the suspension vs the mustangs quadra-link (aka: quadra-bind) mess. The 350z definitly felt like it would have the upper hand in a tight course, like a small road course or auto-x.
Left my camera in my car or i'd upload some of the random cars I drove today, totally original '67 (i think) mustang convertible with a 289, and a totally original 63 'vette convertible with i think a 305. Sales manager here likes to trade for old cars

Why dno't you try that challenge against a 350z with twin turbo's? I'll probably be building one this winter for our show room.

dont get me wrong 350z are fine cars and im sure the are a blast to drive. but i think it comes down to they are overpriced and overhyped if you're performance oriented
