Kyle, that sucks man. Good thing it's not going to be hard for you and your brother to transition over to your Dad's.
The hard fact is that people aren't willing to help themselves until something like this forces them to. Hopefully the time in jail will teach your mom that she doesn't need that ---- to live life. It will also teach her what happens when you think responsibility is a part time job. Of course you love her, it's your mom, but I think she will learn a very good and hard lesson if nobody tries to go "get her off the hook". I really don't think that will help her. But I think that you should be ready to lose attachment to her, because who knows what type of person she is going to become. But always be ready to accept her back into her life - even after my parents have betrayed me year after after year, I still love them and I'm always willing to forgive they just never seem to grow the hell up.
