Re: HUGE CLUTCH TRANNY PROBLEM!! What Could It Be??
You probably missed something. CAn't be anything to serious if you didn't crack open the tranny case.
I with you on the missing bolt. Or you may hae to take alot of the lash out of the clutch. Is it an aftermarket performance one? Normally that have such a fast engagement that the lever has to be adjusted very far. At least I know mine did.

Re: HUGE CLUTCH TRANNY PROBLEM!! What Could It Be??
OK
SO I just went out to the garage and found a spare d16 tranny I have, I got the bolt you say i need
But when you remove that bolt and push up on the cable lever it just spinsinside the tranny andthe throwout bearing doesnt move, why woud I be hearing a spring type clink when I pul the lever up quickly and let it hit whatever it is hitting, to me it sounds like a noice the little presure fingers would make when hit, but i dunno
I need help!!
theres no pressure when you pull it up by hand, i dont know what im looking for when I drop it, i need help

Re: HUGE CLUTCH TRANNY PROBLEM!! What Could It Be??
Where are you located? You dont have any friends around that can help check it out? I dont know if im understanding your problem correctly, but no pressure in cable clutch would indicate that the bearing isnt contacting the pp. Maybe your bearing lever is broken? and you need that bolt you highlighted in there.

Re: HUGE CLUTCH TRANNY PROBLEM!! What Could It Be??
The bearing is there I put it in, it came with the clutch kit
What Im saying is, if the bolt I highlighted was missing, when you pull the cable lever the t/o bearing would not move forward and hit something, so what am I hearing
Someone also mention I could have placed a clutch component on backwards?
I have very little knowledge on this
Thanks guys, keep helpin please

Re: HUGE CLUTCH TRANNY PROBLEM!! What Could It Be??
Can you physically pull the clutch pivot fork all the way up? it should move freely about 1 to 1 1/2 inchs (freeplay) then while pulling up it should stop, at this point you shouldnt be able to pull up any further (this is where the release bearing is touching the PP) this is also where your Clutch cable should be adjusted to. You can try shimming the clutch cable threads by putting ---- under it and giving it a bit more throw, try that and see if you can get any pedal pressure?

Re: HUGE CLUTCH TRANNY PROBLEM!! What Could It Be??
and if you didnt install that bolt your a huge retard, because right after you install the release bearing its pretty obvious you should move the pivot fork back and forth a few times to see if its going back and forth right? well if that bolt wasnt there it wouldnt even pivot back and forth. Why would you take that bolt out anyways?

Re: HUGE CLUTCH TRANNY PROBLEM!! What Could It Be??
Everything was flush though, clutch disk against the flywheel and pressure plate against the clutch disk
Would this cause what im syaing?
Cause Im pretty sure when I installed the throwout bearing with teh tranny out I moved the lever a couple times to make sure it was smooth and I remember it coming out easily
I really dont think its the bolt
What could it be
