Default How we roll in WNC

So it snows night before last. Not a whole lot, but since this isn't ****** flatland it pretty much shuts everything down; the Floridiots and Califools can't drive in it, and all the Northerners think they know what's up and slide off the mountain when they get to the first curve banked to the outside (every third curve, FTW). A bunch of us decided to go raising hell in a 89 Civic RT4WD wagon.

It's pretty much stock with some 16s, but gripped the road better than any of the 4X4s that couldn't keep up with us.

So, our boy Jason puts on his squid helmet and piles into one of my kid's sleds, and we proceed to drag him behind the wagon at 40 mph while he slaloms everywhere like a madman. I was hanging out the rear door trying to video with my cell, it's kind of hard to see for one of the trucks trying to run him over.

After that we blocked off a random road with a steep *** hill from 100 at night until almost 4 in the morning, sledding. I have plenty of pictures and video, but ---- YOU it occurs to me that not posting it will annoy some of you.

They're sweet, and the AWD set-up is crazy, but there's no way they can out root an old Suby with Peugeot wheels and the stock adjustable lift maxed out all the way. Those ******* truly go anywhere. I've been in a mud hole so deep that the engine fan looked like a propeller on a boat, and it still drove out under its own power and made it home. I've also driven up logging roads without chains and snow over the hood. They're under powered terribly, but you can crack the 1.8L open pretty good or boost it and make the ultimate AWD car. Really more like 4WD with the 4L, but it's considered AWD. Not to mention you can get them for $1k> all damn day.
