how rare are 92 93 gs-r's
 

i just picked up a 92 gs-r, i have not really seen alot of them around or there motors either. apparently the b17a1 and the trans are very hard to come by. i got the car from this girl that lives near me for $1100. the car is in decent shape and runs incredibly. it had 225k on it and you would never know by listing to it or looking at it. its lowered, has some old school borbet rims, old kicker 10, old hks intake. i got a deal and i know it i a just wondering how rare these cars are, on another website they said that they only imported like 1400 white ones in 92 but i have no clue how true that is. if some one wants i can email them picks if they can post them for me since i am computer illiterate.

The car is as rare as a hot chick in Canada, and that's rare. It's also 3% more rare than hotrex telling the truth.

From what I've read they didn't produce more than 3,500 between 92/93. So yeah, there rare.

My friend has a red 92 gsr...yeah, it's a pretty rare car to see. To date I think I've only seen 3 in person. From what I understand, the body was imported, but the motor was US made...the first us made dohc vtec. It's more or less a mix and match of pr3 and pr4 compnents.

pretty rare, I have seen a few in person (aztec green and red) and it seems that the rest are owned by guys on g2ic.com

Ive probably only seen about 4-5 ever in person, most of them at the track and one of them a friend owns, which he bought for about 8 bills in running condition with a spare ls motor and spare ys1 tranny.

nothing spectacular, they are kinda rare, the engine is pretty worthless, imo, and the DC2 wasn't much heavier. cool car tho, i like the 2nd gen styling.

i take that back, im sure it's the easiest b-series vtec to swap into an older model next to the older b16s

Compare times with a Type R integra, they're pretty close :)

My friend he is on HMT owns one.His is red and there is only one maybe two others in town.I like it you get OBD1 Vtec wired with the nice older body style that i prefer as a EF guy.Its actually in my gettho garage getting a flat rate motor job as the LS/vtec that is in it has lost a cylinder or two.We are putting a bone stock B16A bottom end in :-X

i have seen a bunch of them... and there are 3-4 in out local classifieds... but yeah they are pretty rare...

they are VIN'ed as DB2's (different than LS, GS, RS integras) and i have seen them VIN;ed around 2600 in 92 and 2400 in 93...

i use to have one, just sold it...ill post pics later :-*

They're rated at ~15.2 in the 1/4, type R ~14.7. ...only .5 difference

First off, 1100 for a DB2 is a steal! :o The 225K probably has a little to do with that. Most are going for 3500-6500+ depending on mileage and mods.

As mentioned above they are fairly rare. Bone stock they are not that impressive. Mine had a few mods and it was fun as ---- to drive.

i just remembered, one of my high school buddies had one of these.

his ---- was clean as ----! then it got stolen while he was at his job. he found it COMPLETELY stripped the next day on the side of some country road.
