I got this for free from my dads work, Dont know what its for exactly but I thought I'd make it in to an intercooler.

Each one of the bars is .4 or .5 of a centemeterin diamiter, so lets say .4 X 24 = 9.6 = 96mm /25.4 = 3.7" so the combined area would be 3.7" of bars for the air to travel through.

The hole for the front mount, I still have to do body work on the car.

Interior taken out to get the car ready for work and painting

This side I have to grind out the rust and weld new metal in with holes for the clips.

This side was not bad, had a bit of surface rust, I grinded it down to bare metal primed it and used rubber coating on top, about 3 coats, the car will also be oil guarged after the paintjob, so nothing is going to rust on me anymore.

That will not work as an intercooler.

use it as a heat exchanger for a water to air intercooler. Thats what it was designed for (heat exhanger)

looks like a A/C core, i don`t think there`s enough passage for the air to go throught.

Ok i'm gonna ditch it then, and save up for something else, I thought it might work.

Maybe if you modified it like such, cut all the little u-bends off to allow air to flow and then put some end tanks on it. Doubt the flow rate through it would be too great but if you need a cheapo one that bad would be super ghetto :P
