hhhm..just a thought, but i don't think they where TRYING for fast lap times. On the inboard camera, you can see him using the emergency brake to start the drift, not a real "get good lap times" tactic.

yeah i guess so, but that shopping cart wing on the orange car doesn't do much good if you're trying to drift.

its funny listening to those japanese guys get so excited about that

can you dift in regular cars is it hard? I have a 2002 nissan spec v i want to try it once or twice. Will it ---- up my tires big time if i just do it like once or twice?

Re:How to Drift course 202 (advanced)

no it won't ---- up your tires anymore than burning off. you don't have to smoke the tires to drift. like those fruity japs. just come up to a corner, and turn as sharp as you can until the back starts to slide, then correct yourself. do it somewhere where you aren't going to crash into someone.

one day i was late for baseball practice, and i power slid through a yellow light into campus. in my FWD crx. its so light in the back, it slides all over the place. very unsafe. POS IHMO.

slide sideways between two rows of cars waiting at a red light.
