If you don't, go learn.
I usually prestage first, let the other guy prestage.......then I stage and bring the rpms up to 7500-8000, let him stage.......wait for the yellow flash and lift as fast as possible off the clutch.
Wait, doubt anyone here ever ran a Pro-Tree

Re: how do you stage?
What I usually do...
Roll up the windows and turn the HEAT on full blast (sucks in the summer)
(With slicks) pull into the water box when instrusted, burn out and turn the wheel back and forth (no LSD)
(No slicks) Go around the water box
Pre-Stage, check gauages...
Pull forward ever so slightly until the second light turns on
Floor the throttle until the 2-stage kicks in and slightly lift off the clutch until you start to feel resistance (pre-load)
As soon as you see that Yellow light lift and go

Here is a good link for some of you guys who have not been to the track.

Don't worry about too many things. Take it slow the first few times and try to get all of the logistics correct so you dont kill anyone or yourself. Just try to have a good time and also improve your driving skills on successive runs. Remember, you can have the fastest car and still lose to a Pinto.

Once both pre-staged I creap in using the e-brake, half loaded clutch and moderate revs. Once fully staged as SHALLOW as possible (for best e/t and consistancy) the revs come full, clutch loaded, flicker of the 3rd bulb and its off.
On slicks everything is the same but I launch off the rev limiter at 7350. See the sig for my time Not shabby in a single cam.
